Puppies
15-12-9-6 and 3 rep rounds of:
Sumo deadlift (dumbell) high-pull, 25 pounds
SHOULDER PRESS, 25 pounds
5:37 time
Plus, I was really amped up and wished I had tried the pack scale. So after finishing the WOD, I added the same rep-rounds of situps and pushups (inclined on my fireplace, about 20% to assist me): 15-12-9-6-3 (but didn’t time) and finally reached exhaustion in my arms.
Then, I practiced Push Jerks with a broomstick. I felt a little underdeveloped in the Push Jerk to be able to attempt it weighted in the WOD. Maybe next time.

No, I’m not competing with you; I’m competing with me: the me of last year, last month, yesterday. I want to be faster, stronger, and fitter than her.

After 3 days of rest,
21-18-15-12-9-6-3 rep rounds of:
Sumo dead-lift high-pull 55lb.
Push jerk, 55lb.
for time
10:41
I felt good doing this WOD, pretty tired at the end but not dead. I think I needed the rest days. Old guys need time to rebuild.

Yes. Typically this would be written without the “and”
21-18-15-12-9-6-3
sooooo, 21 sdhp, 21 push jerk, 18 sdhp . . . and cetera . . .

Puppy Northwest Regional Event 4:
Row 30 calories
44 pound Thruster, 20 reps
45 beginner towel pull-ups
20 Kettlebell swings, 1 pood
Row 20 calories
60 pound Thruster, 15 reps
2 Beginner towel pull-ups
15 Kettlebell swings, 1 pood
Row 10 calories
75 pound Thruster, 10 reps
1 beginner towel pull-ups
10 Kettlebell swings, 1 pood
26:30
The first round of thrusters after the row was surprisingly tough. Took the other rounds of rowing easier. As expected, the towel pull-ups were the bottleneck.
Puppy:
AMRAP in 10 minutes:
75 pound Front squat, 5 reps
10 Beginner Pull-ups
15 Double-unders
5 rounds
Double-unders took less time once I pointed the handles out and used my wrists.
