We have too many heroes lost and not enough workout days to commemorate them. I think it’s fitting to always think of the men and women in service, whether military or peace officers and public safety, as we do our workouts. A bit of motivation to throw a little of our sweat and maybe a drop of blood on the floor in their honor.

You will find that question, and many more, answered here: http://www.crossfitbrandx.com/index.php/forums/viewthread/4747/

In fact, the whole Beginners forum is loaded with must-reads.

I did this at night and was kind of difficult because of the light on my watch.  Couldn’t see my stopwatch without pushing the light all of the time.  Something I will remember.

I’ve had a sore back for the last 2-3 days, but I think it is from sitting too much in poorly designed conference chairs rather than from my workouts.

Warm up: 1/2 mile jog

I am training for a sprint triathalon (my first one!) for the end of this month, so I dropped a little crossfit endurance in there before the weight WOD:

Biking 20:10x 8

Then, I did the split jerks, starting really low because I havn’t done them in a while and needed to get form first. I ended up PRing by the last one though,

45lb, 55lb, 65lb, 70lb, 75lb, 80lb (f), 80lb

Cool down: stretching and foam rolling
