Didn’t make time for a warmup because I was refinishing our staircase until 9 pm, then my wife was going to make dinner shortly.  Just did a workout-specific warmup.

Overhead squats:

10xbroomstick
10xbroomstick
5x45#
3x95#
3x115#
3x125#
3x135#
3x145#

This matched my max overhead squat on the 7/19/2010.  Felt a bit shaky, but not out of control.  This is one exercise that I find myself surprised that people have trouble with.  I should go look at the mainsite comments for a dose of humility.  smile  Does this mean I’m blessed with shoulder flexibility?

Closed with a pair of Mobility WODs (shoulder flexibility).  I saw some incredible improvements doing these routines, particularly for my dip depth.  I’m sold.

I’m a day off from the HQ page as to rest days, etc.  I needed this work today - I did Nancy within the last 7 days, and there’s enough OHS in there for this week.  :D

Still not great at these so I kept it light.

Overhead Squat 3-3-3-3-3 reps

95 - 95 - 95 - 95 - 95

OHS 45lbx10 for more practice. My form is perfect with just the bar, guess I just need more practice.

OhSq 5*3

WU:  7(45), 3(65), 3(75)

Did both of these workouts today since I missed yesterday.  Had a large outdoor project I was working on probably could’ve subbed it as the workout.  Move 80# sackcrete to the ditch, 8 * 3’ holes with the post hole digger, move 8 * 10’ 4x4 to ditch…. so on and so forth.  Good stuff.

Overhead Squats 3-3-3-3-3-3-3

Did these on vacation at the Guadalupe River.  Got up early, swam upstream for a while, floated back down then picked up a big rock for the first three sets then a bigger rock for the last three.  Wish I knew the weights but I made sure it was just hard enough to count as really tough without getting hurt.
