We are looking for feedback on putting up some video and pictures for kids crossfit- scaled versions of basic exercises, and others ? Would this be helpful ? Ideas or suggestions are welcome.
I think that is an excellent idea BBOJ. Maybe show the varied levels and how much fun it can be!!! Yours and Kim’s kids class always looks like they are having such a great time!
I like the idea, BBOJ. It would be a great teaching tool when my children decide they know how to do the exercises better than I do. Plus, we are raising a “media” generation that responds favorably to those type of images…could be very motivating.
Have been doing crossfit for about 8 months now and some of the exercises on the crossfitkids website I don’t know about. Exercise videos/slideshows for each exercise would be great. It will also help out when I deploy incase my kids are unsure of proper technique on a certain exercise. I would also like to thank whoever came up with the crossfitkids idea. This will be a great way to transition my kids into a lifetime of fitness. :D
We have links in our CrossFitKids magazine each month with explanations. Which exercises did you have questions about ? I can post some answers and videos ( if we have them for those you need)
and You are Welcome- It was just natural to start with kids- we have three boys, 15 , 12 and 8. They are all about two years into CrossFit now.
Yes it would be nice to have kids and teens doing the exercises, and not have to worry about the language that is being used that is not appropriate in a school or home setting:)
We are developing a glossary to add to the kids site and more videos are on the way. CrossFit Snohomish has offered to help create some videos… sure to be adorable !
Videos are going up on the CFKids site almost every day. Some amazing efforts and some that are sure to make you smile. Check them out at http://www.crossfitkids.com.
