Love the sound of those mitts being smacked. Hard. Slap Slap. That’s it.
“No man who refuses to bear arms in defense of his nation can give a sound reason why he should be allowed to live in a free country” T. Roosevelt
“The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who are not.” Thomas Jefferson”
“History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid” - Gen Eisenhower.
I miss that sound. :(
I’ll be back!
We have too many heroes lost and not enough workout days to commemorate them. I think it’s fitting to always think of the men and women in service, whether military or peace officers and public safety, as we do our workouts. A bit of motivation to throw a little of our sweat and maybe a drop of blood on the floor in their honor.

There is no substitute for good coaching.
Holding mits is awefully hard on ones elbows. That smack you hear is elbow joints dislocating
Memory is the 2nd thing to go. Left jab is the 1st.
Too true. We found that the clapper mitts work well to avoid this, and the curved shape is better as well.
When your holding mitts, give a ‘pop’ of resistance when your partner strikes the mitt. This will 1.) reduce the shock to your joints, 2.) give you better control of the mitts, 3.) allow your partner to hit harder.

Do you think it also sharpens your reaction to a strike, since you have to judge when to pop back? Translation to Inside defenses?
