1. Boot Camp Model for Kids
I’m planning to get my CF Kids certification in June and I also have an affiliate lined up for me to start/run their CFK program. My thoughts were to run 2-3 classes a week at the affiliate like most affiliates run their CFK program, but I was curious about an additional class model, a ‘boot camp’ style class that could be run out of my house (with the affiliation still with the gym).
The purpose for this boot camp style class would be for me to try and run the program out of my home so that I could offer it to all the children in my neighborhood and give them some exposure to CF. I guess this might just be strictly an insurance question, but can you have that scenario under the affiliate’s umbrella and insurance? Is there any issue doing that at a residence? I know the affiliate already has a boot camp model for adults that they run out of the nearby park.
I guess an alternative would be to offer the class sessions to the neighborhood kids for free throughout the summer and get myself some experience and also still give them that exposure and they might be interested in joining the gym after the summer….
2. Coaching at multiple affiliates:
I have 2 affiliates interested in me helping with their CFK program. What is your experience, if any, with allowing someone to coach/run a CFK program at 2 separate boxes? If the class days/times were split on different days and it worked with scheduling, is this even a feasible option (ethically or otherwise)? I would really like to help out both places, so if I choose one over the other, could I bring the CFK program into the other box as a ‘roving’ affiliate type program?
I appreciate any help/ideas/thoughts you might have toward these questions.
Thanks,
Brian
