What is up with these kids who just stand in the middle of the street like they pay taxes and own them. The only reason I bring this up is, twice this happend in just three days. No big deal you say, it almost caused two fights. #1 at the mall parking lot. I’m leaving and three kids are in the middle of the road. I slowly approach, they’re not moving. So I shrugg my shoulders and what’s up. Eye contact as I roll by, right there I wanted to Smack them all. So I look in rear mirror and one kid is flippin me off, now since Im a better person ( even though I was MAD) I just kept going and left. #2 Three guys lil older were riding bikes (where else) in the middle of the road. Again I approach slowly, maybe a little faster after the first incident. And they all give me this what the hell are you doing?? I trying to run you down with a 3000 pound hunk a metal if you don’t get your #@## out of the road. Twice if I wanted to come to blows, there it was. Instead I just came away PO.  I do feel better now.

Happens every other time I come to (krav) class. 3 junior high and high school kids riding their skate boards in the middle of the road. No effort to get out of the way of the car.

Welcome to my world. Everyday I come across several people that think they own the road. I drive a 4600lb. forklift at work yes they can stop on a dime and give 9 cents change but it is still a very heavy piece of equipment. I have mupltiple people that don’t seem to understand that this thing can seriously injure and or kill them. Then this afternoon as I left work and stopped at a light some some punks in the car behind me instisted on hnking the whole time the light was red. I am still not sure what their problem was. They were turning right and had tons of room to move up and make the turn, yet the driver just sat behind me honking. I really wanted to hop out and scare them pretty good, but I didn’t.

I once droped a phone from 30ft in the air, it did not work after that. Who’s next?

I usually lean out the door and ask if any of the offending group is eighteen.  Then if I lose my temper I know who to go after.  Just kidding.  One time when I was 20 I had a jerk play games in front of me on the offramp from 805 to 8.  He was stepping on his brakes and trying to run me off the road.  He and his friends thought it was very funny.  I wrote the license plate down and put it in the glove compartment.  3 years later I saw the car at Grossmont center.  I followed the guy home.  By the time we got there he was pretty shook up.  I asked him if he remembered trying to run me off the road three years ago.  It freaked him out he couldn’t get in the house fast enough.  Of course I was younger then and more impetuous.

There was a time many many moons ago I was nearly run into the median on Poway road. I followed the driver to his house and confronted him about it. Think that was teh most angry I ever was at another driver. He lived more than 6 miles past my house. When I approached the car he was so nervous that he left it in gear and it started to roll down the driveway. I guess a 6ft+ guy coming at an old man might have have freaked him out. Here again I was young and foolish. I think the main reason I followed him was because I could see that he was older, I had not intention other than informing him that he had nearly hit me and that he needed to pay more attention when driving.

Lol, I wish I could have seen that guys face! He probably figured you’d been stalking him for the past three years.  LOL

I just remembered when we were at Disneyland in May we took the trolley car from the gate to main street circle. When we got the circle and the car started to turn right into the circle itself, this bunch of teenage girls was just standing there in front of it and barely moved out of the way.

I was looking one of the girls dead in the eye by chance as we passed, and I muttered, “Hello?! Get out of the street!” Of course, she heard me which I hadn’t planned.

You don’t want to know the expletive that girl used at me. I was shocked.

We have too many heroes lost and not enough workout days to commemorate them. I think it’s fitting to always think of the men and women in service, whether military or peace officers and public safety, as we do our workouts. A bit of motivation to throw a little of our sweat and maybe a drop of blood on the floor in their honor.

very close to home

grrrrr! been there and come real close to many altercations with rude, obnoxious jerks young and older. couldnt this also over lap into respect or the lack there of? anyway with the liberal mentality of freedom without responsibilty and it is always someone elses fault you really cant do much to alter or alleviate others behaviors or attitudes especially with force. ie kids in the street. you get out of your car or off your tricycle(brittany) and confront the idiots, now you are the perpertrator( like that one large lefty?)  now im the perp and instigator. if by chance i could control my anger which is very difficult at least for me, and asked if they needed help and if they had parental guidance etc and antagonize them into a physical confrontation to my delight WHAT HAVE I ACCOMPLISHED? have i taught them anything? show them my brand-x t-shirt and say see how well im trained now would you guys like to join after getting out of the hospital? they wouldnt, sooo what do you do? sit in your car with the air conditioner on sipping on your sugar free dr pepper burning gas and saying how glad i am i live in a free society?  i just ask myself what good will come of me going ape and what would i accomplish? dont get me wrong, im on heavy doses of blood pressure meds as i write. and it isnt just the kids int the street, try driving wild cat or 67 or san diego, shoot try logan heights while one moron is parked in the middle of the road while talking to another moron when they could call each other. oh yes, need another pill.  and thanks for the forum, havent had this much fun since the hogs ate my baby brother.

How about kids at the Pop Warner football game this past Saturday?

The Ramona PW cheerleaders complained to us adults that a couple of kids had stuck their camera phones under their skirts as the girls ran by them. We confronted the boys, aged approx 10 and 16. The young boy apologized. But the older boy identified himself as the other’s big brother and started swearing at us. I moved toward him because I was getting @W@$% po’d. Then he said: “What are you gonna do, hit me?”

I came within inches of ripping his ears off. But I walked away. Turned out this kid was a coach’s son from RB. He will be dealt with. In another world, we could have grabbed him by the ear and marched him to his parents. Nowadays, all we’ll get is a fast trip to jail and a lawsuit.

What a bunch of pc %%$#! Maybe I should have accidentally tripped and fallen on him—repeatedly.

actually

x from my understanding this could be called sexual harrassment which i also believe is a misdemeaner and you could possibly have made a citizens arrest and confiscated the phone as evidence. with the help of other adults as your, i repeat, your witnesses. if things got out of hand you could always smash the phone and say oops and if worst comes to worse you would end up in small claims court and IF you lost there have to buy another phone. i doubt it would go that far since sexual harrassment is really frowned upon buy any civilized people let alone the court system. this has always been a bane of contention with martial arts, uncivilized behavior and how much force is acceptable. expecially with the punky, disrespectful youth of our liberal society. maybe you guys could have citizen classes on legal issues,  adult rights from attorneys, kids rights, or parents obligations of their off spring. i use the word of rather than to.for parents to accept responsibility for what their kids do, and a parental volunteer force for these games, all games to protect other kids. i still go back to the sheriffs volunteer corp here in ramona. its free 1 week training and you have to be over 50. but you have the rights of citing or calling for help immediately in the case of civil disturbances. you call, they may show in a day or two. if a vounteer calls its like light speed. oh by the way, there is no age limitations to this rude, crude, and nasty behavior i’ve literally seen first graders being hauled out of school in handcuffs for threatening or attempting to stab teachers and kids with scissors. chair throwing seems to be the number one offense lately. i dont mean to ramble just trying to come up with different and hopefully workable ideas or at least some to build on. unfortunately we are not at the saturation point where enough is enough to put a stop to this behavior. then again it wasnt MY daughter that they were doing this to. hell hath no fury like a woman scorned but even the devil comes between a man and his daughter. ok sons too. i know this is run-on and rambly but im trying to get in as much info without trying to type a disertation.  this obviously is a veerryy nervy, and sensitive point for me. good luck kodiak. this wont be the first or last encounter im afraid.

sooo what do you do? sit in your car with the air conditioner on sipping on your sugar free dr pepper burning gas and saying how glad i am i live in a free society?

Act crazy, foam at the mouth, lurch towards them mumbling incoherently -basically look insane! I’ve never been good at doing these kind of impressions; I think LD could do this one pretty good… maybe even throw in the kilt for effect! LOL

Yeah, I was really agitated for about 20 minutes. My thing is: Their rights end where mine begin. That’s how I live. The converse works also. A lot of this behaviour comes from home, though. A kid is generally a conduit for what their parents do and say and how they interact with others.  Oh, well. More wasted fresh air.

BTW…a citizen’s arrest is possible as long as the misdemeanor is committed in your presence.

My response is always to ask…. “When will you turn 18”?  Of course in my nicest voice.  Then I wait….....
