If they show up here for the first time and have to wade through 5-10 posts before we have a chance to scale for them, it can make it more difficult.

Answers to frequently asked questions can be found in the Beginners forum.

Getting better.
Up to 1563 votes right now. Up 763 from yesterday.
Top vote in the category that CrossFit Brand X/CrossFit Kids HQ is competing in is currently 7571. Up from about 4579 yesterday.

We need to be putting votes in faster yet.

Please vote and spread the word.

So about 3000 people come here each day to get the free scaling we do every night.  24/7, 365 days a year.  We rarely ask anything of our members or the people who come here.  Right now we are asking you to vote so that CF Kids can get a grant to teach CrossFit to kids from 1st through 6th grade.  It takes just a few seconds to text a vote.  We could have 3000 votes a day, if you all took a few seconds to text a vote in.  The highest vote right now after two days of voting is around 1000, we have 98.  I’ll post a few reminders please help..

‎CrossFit Kids has been accepted by Clorox as nominee for a 50,000 grant through Powerabrightfuture.com to have CFK implemented at a local school- here in Ramona the home of CFK HQ !
We have three weeks to vote EVERY DAY - PLEASE!
Voting has begun.3-2-1 VOTE ! Our code is clorox3829. I found the easiest way to vote is to use the “keyword search” option, search by “Crossfit” and the nomination pops right up! To text a vote….send the text to 44144 and list our code clorox3829 in the message.

http://www.powerabrightfuture.com/gallery/detail/?nid=1598

And if anyone knows how to use Google Voice or Skype or the like to do the text voting thing from overseas, let me know ASAP. A lot of us are scattered around the world and we could be adding our text vote to the mix if we those of you who have got this working share the method with us.

$in 3x(20 toe touches, 20 sit-ups, 2 min jump rope)

.com WOD from 111101

With a cone at 20 meters, five rounds for time of:

90# OH Walk, 40 meters (sub two 45# DBs)

30 Wallballs shots, 12# ball

45# barbells Farmer carry, 40 meters

15:49

The old garage CrossFitter’s dilemma. I only have two bars (yeah, I know, that’s more than a lot of people have). So I used the bars for the Farmer carries and rather than switching the weights, I used two dumbbells for the OH Walks. That sucked. I think the bar would have been easier. Good WOD.

Pack:
Three rounds for time of:
55 pound Overhead squat, 15 reps
15 L Pull-ups (kipped)
55 pound Split-jerk, 15 reps
15 Knees to elbows
55 pound Hang clean, 15 reps
15 Back extensions, with 10 pounds

Time: 23:50

Everything moved well except the pullups - which were kipped Ls, but still had to break into 5-3-3-3-1.  K2E were broken 5-5-5 and knees actually touched elbows ONCE (first time), the rest were close.  OHS, SJ, HC, and back extensions all sets unbroken.  I was shooting for under 20 but too much time with the L Pull-ups.  Next time they need to be scaled more.

WOD
For time:
21-15-9 of:
Back Squat, 185# (scaled to 165#)
KB Swing, 1.5 pood

*Bar must come from the ground for the back squat.

Time: 4:36
185# was possible, but likely at the expense of a minute or more…getting the bar up and over was easier than expected, but had to dig deep to fight urge to dump the bar during 15 and 9.  Only broke the round of 15 KBs (6-9).

10 burpees

The overhead walk punished my frail body! I did not enjoy that at all. I did manage to improve almost 2 and a half minutes from last year’s time though.
