The mainpage of CrossFit directs new people here for help getting started CF can be confusing enough for a newbie, we want to make it as easy as possible for them.  We ask you to be courteous and thoughtful of the newbies. If they show up here for the first time and have to wade through 5-10 posts before we have a chance to scale for them, it can make it more difficult.

Answers to frequently asked questions can be found in the Beginners forum.

So about 3000 people come here each day to get the free scaling we do every night.  24/7, 365 days a year.  We rarely ask anything of our members or the people who come here.  Right now we are asking you to vote so that CF Kids can get a grant to teach CrossFit to kids from 1st through 6th grade.  It takes just a few seconds to text a vote.  We could have 3000 votes a day, if you all took a few seconds to text a vote in.  The highest vote right now after two days of voting is around 1000, we have 98.  I’ll post a few reminders please help..

‎CrossFit Kids has been accepted by Clorox as nominee for a 50,000 grant through Powerabrightfuture.com to have CFK implemented at a local school- here in Ramona the home of CFK HQ !
We have three weeks to vote EVERY DAY - PLEASE!
Voting has begun.3-2-1 VOTE ! Our code is clorox3829. I found the easiest way to vote is to use the “keyword search” option, search by “Crossfit” and the nomination pops right up! To text a vote….send the text to 44144 and list our code clorox3829 in the message.

WOD 111113 (Pack)
21-15-9 reps for time of:
Sit up Wall ball,
Wallball “2-fer-1s” 14lb
Time: 5:50

My only medicine balls are a sand filled basketball and football. So for sit ups I held the 14lb ball throughout and touched it to the ground behind my head and my feet.
I was expecting sub 5 mins. Ripped through the sit ups at 2secs per rep but 2 for 1s with a sand filled ball outside in the dark and in the rain aint no fun ! - lots of drops and twice the ball came down from 10 or 11ft, I missed the catch and it hit me in the adams apple - once it knocked me over completely.

“I did a 6:00 AM WOD the other day - Fight Gone Bad. When I saw it on the gym whiteboard I thought “you’ve got to be kidding”. It turned out to be fantastic. I spent the rest of the day knowing that I had slayed a dragon.” Radiosound

Ouch! Those 800s were rough - especially after the thrusters.

Max weight dumbbell Thrusters, 3x10 w/ 1 min rest in between each set
(all weights shown are totals, e.g. 40 lbs was 20 lbs in each arm)

1- 40 lbs
2- 50 lbs
3- 60 lbs
4- 60 lbs
5- 70 lbs
6- 80 lbs
7- 80 lbs
8- 90 lbs (F on 3rd rep)
9- 70 lbs
10- 90 lbs (F on 2nd rep)

A 3x10 w/ 1 min rest is very different from the 5x5 w/ 3 min rest I usually do.  Change is good.

Voted, twice.

Been there, done that, damn it hurts.  The outside wall where we toss our balls has a light that used to flicker on & off.  It was always fun throwing the ball, having the light flicker off and not be able to see when it was coming back down at you.  Good for the reflexes, bad for your face. beatup  Hope you’re ok.
