Good morning Brand.
Some really awesome numbers of rounds of Cindy yesterday in the forum!
Question: I’m up for Mary today on pack scaling. Both one legged squat and HSPU need to be assisted/progression. As for pack scaling the pull ups are also beginners. Should I go whit the scaling all the way, or do the pull ups rx and rest according to the scaling?
Guess it’s up to me to decid, but would like to know something about the thoughts of the pack scaling.
If you have the time.
Thanks in advance/Patrik.
Pack: AMRAP 15min
15 foot Rope climb, 2 ascents - Sub: 15 pull-ups on a rope(nowhere near making 30…)
20 Wall ball shots, 14 pound ball - Sub: DB thruster with 12 kg
Run 200 meter
We have been recommending trying one of these other variations:
9 sets of 5 each exercise
55 lbs thruster
Pullups
4:28
Last time was 8:30 with 65 lbs, better scale today, but harder somehow? I feel more worked? Must be due to the fact that there where less breathers and I didn’t use time om muscular failures I guess.
Wu: 600m fast walk, F & J, 2 x Bu wu, 2 rounds of todays wod
Skill/strenght: One legged squat form
Wod Pack:
Complete as many rounds in 12 minutes as you can of:
3 Assisted Handstand Push-ups
6 Assisted One legged squats, alternating
9 Beginner Pull-ups
10 rounds + 2 HSPU progression
Kind of answered my earlier question. If I would have gone whit regular pullups it would have been a slog after round 5. Now the 3 different exercises took about the same time to complete in each round.
Thanks for a good scaling, GD!
dropped forward on first attempt. I did 3 reps on second attempt, but I don’t think I really got all the way down. I was having a little trouble pressing the weight up due to a strained calf muscle, and I don’t think my grip was wide enough for my lack of shoulder mobility.
