Skill work from crossfit gymnastics 120113: Handstand Push up Work
3 Rounds for Quality:
- 5 Push Ups
- 5 Tripod Rocks
- 5 Handstand Lower to Headstand (3 sec hold in each Movement)

REST DAY

I did do my eight mile bicycle commute and also some handstands with my belly facing the wall. I think I’ll play with my parallettes too, maybe some tuck sits and tuck planches.

I did do some muscle up progressions though. Sometimes I feel like I’m so close to being able to do one and sometimes I feel like I’m miles away

Run + max Pull ups + Max pistols

5min easy run + 5 X POSE drills warm up

then 15min @sub 145HR flat terrain. Focus on 180 steps per min.

Then Max Pull ups - 18

Max Pistols - L 15 (stronger side) R 15 (weaker side - balance much harder - used glutes way more to stabilize)

Cool down, shower and stretch

Worked muscle up progression, double unders, HSPU.  Having difficulty with the HSPU, so just practiced the hand stand.

Ran 1.00 mile on treadmill 10% incline 6.0 mph, walking 3.5 mph every quarter mile for .05 mile.

I fully intended to attack Filthy Fifty tonight but the gym was way too packed to attempt it. Instead, did

CFSB week 4, day 4

Push Press, 3 X 5

80 lb - 95 X 4 - 95 X 3. My performance stunk.

12 - 9 - 6 reps at 65 lb.

Then,

Back Squat 3-3-3-3-3 reps (which just happens to be day 1 of week 5 CFSB)

175 lb - 190 - 200 - 200 - 185 X 4

Meh.

WU: row 1000 m, 2 X 15 push-ups, 2 X 10 sit-ups, squats, bar dips (no pull-ups due to a tear in right palm)
