DNF - managed to dislocate a finger on the second wall walk.

WHAT?

Just one of those things….I put my right hand down coming off the wall and the last two bones on my ring finger took off at 30 degrees.  I think I planted the end of the finger and then continued to push the palm forward.  Instead of the knuckle bending it popped out.

Learining point:  place your palm down first.

I managed to relocate the finger right away with no issues.  The guy next to me happened to be a physician.  He stopped for about 15 seconds and looked at my finger and said, “I recommend that you don’t finish the WOD.”  Then he went back to work.

“No, maybe I can’t win. Maybe the only thing I can do is just take everything he’s got. But to beat me, he’s going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he’s gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he’s got to be willing to die himself. I don’t know if he’s ready to do that. I don’t know.”

Had to take Tuesday off, tweaked a muscle in my lower back doing cleans on Monday and it locked me up pretty bad for a day.

120131 Tyler (~25 min)
Five Four rounds for time of:
7 Muscle-ups 15 pull-ups + 15 bar dips
95 45 pound Sumo-deadlift high-pull, 21 reps

Went light on the SDHP’s to make sure my back was okay…but it felt pretty good.  Cardio seems like it’s coming along…might actually start the couch-to-5k program along side Crossfit.  That seems to be my downfall anyhow, so it can’t hurt…and it’s not like the C25K program isn’t all that demanding, at least at first.
