I learned the following cool British phrases while those two English lovebirds, Karl & Rachel, visited San Diego, miss em already. :(

“Dollybirds ”  Go ahead, just guess ( not fair Davie or Kempie)

not new but Loved this one “brilliant !”

The World Cup features football, not soccer ( stupid Americans !)
“midges” maybe easier to guess, but go ahead…

and the one I miss the most “Cheers !”

Cheers to you two.  Hope it is not too long before we see you again.

Oh, oh, oh! Pick me! Pick MEEEEEEE!

I know all of these. Maybe it’s because I spent two weeks with the love birds in thier home land… does that mean I don’t get to guess?

It sure was good seeing you both. “A CrossPit honeymoon” and “Choke your spouse” nights were great! Any disagreement is now really a detente waiting to happen, threat of mutual choke outs and doubleleg takedowns will be a deterrant.

smile

I’m with Dan on the dollybirds.

Midges…hmmm….no idea.

Brilliant = Funny
OTOH Clever = Smart

Also, I like the british: “roll up, roll up”.

We have too many heroes lost and not enough workout days to commemorate them. I think it’s fitting to always think of the men and women in service, whether military or peace officers and public safety, as we do our workouts. A bit of motivation to throw a little of our sweat and maybe a drop of blood on the floor in their honor.

Karl and Rachel-
It was lovely to have you and we miss you already! It was so nice of you to spend your honeymoon with us getting beat up and sunburned. 8) I hope we get to see you again soon. Glad you had a safe journey.

Give you a clue - ‘dollybirds’ tend to be found sitting in the passenger seat of any fast/sports car…....

Thanks to everyone for making our honeymoon so memorable - I’ve got some great pictures - GD if you have any to hand of the seminars etc we would love to add them to our honeymoon album if you can email them that would be great.

We wish you guys lived closer :(
