Todays WOD at Brand X will be a course run, consisting of various functional movements.  Should be “fun”.

When is the keg going to be put to use GD?  It’ll be a good throwing device… maybe wrap it in a blanket or something to make it last longer.  Just an idea…

How about Saturday? Are you doing classes that day or taking a holiday break?

We have too many heroes lost and not enough workout days to commemorate them. I think it’s fitting to always think of the men and women in service, whether military or peace officers and public safety, as we do our workouts. A bit of motivation to throw a little of our sweat and maybe a drop of blood on the floor in their honor.

Laura….you need to stop demoralizing yourself…this lack of confidence you seem to have doesn’t help you attain your goals any…I saw this weekend what that does to a person and it’s upsetting to see…so tell yourself that you WILL do it…not you can do it….and you will feel much better about how fast you start to attain your goals..

Shadow, you know what, you are right. One thing I do a lot is joke around. Mostly I’m kidding - and sometimes fishing for a compliment! But that’s counterproductive a lot of times.

I appreciate your words of encouragement.
Thanks. smile

Yeah it doesn’t help especially when you are trying to overconme an obstacle….joke around lightly but too much and you actually start believing yourself…

I don’t have the list with me so someone might want to put it up so people can see what you did.  BTW I thought the ladies in general rocked.  Mikki was going strong and there were several out there who a couple of months ago couldn’t have done this.

I’ll type it up, GardDawg.

smile

A: 15 pullups
B: 400M run
C: Horizontal Rope Climb
D: 25 pushups
E: 7 Med Ball/Heavy Bag throws up/back
F: Lying Down Rope pullup
G: Farmers Walk up and back length of building + 15 burpees between trips.
H: 15 rope pullups
I: 25 toes to bar
J: Walking lunges to end of building

(skip L-O - GD, will we attempt that section later?)

P: Sled Pull up and back length of building (front)
Q:25 dumbell thrusters
R: 15 pullups
S: 50 sumo DL highpulls
T: 2 1/4 laps start at SDHP, end at back door.
U 25 Med Ball throws (Wall ball)
V: 2 Rope Climbs

It took me over an hour. I have to take 30 second penalties on Pullups (did all of them, jump assisted), and toes to bar (did knees to elbows)  and Rope climbs (took too long and ropes were put away by the time I got to that point).

This ROCKED. Everyone did great. GardDawg, can we post about this on Crossfit.com in the thread about the challenge? Or shall we keep it under wraps for a bit? wink

I think you could post that we are training for it and excited to do it.  Other than that I don’t think we need to post our workouts up just yet.

I believe the “missing” exercises were
L-25 pushups
m- 50 dumbell swings w/ 50#
n- Farmers walk with 50# sandbags
0- 25 overhead squats w/45#
I did not do T, U, V.  But I can tell you the stretch of Dumbell swings, Farmers walk, overhead squats, sled pull, dumbell thruster, pull ups, & SDHP took forever, wiped me out and probably could be a WOD in and of itself.
