Buster more shoulder shrugg. Watch how your elbows are bending too early.

On a good not, your squat and rack position look good.

Buster,
Dan is right about the catch.  It looks good.  It looks to me like you are hurrying the lift.  You seem to rip it from the ground right to the third pull.  (Skipping the jump position)  The bar swings wide and then you have to jump forward to catch it.

I would try viding up some hang squat clean vids and let us have a look at that.

Hi

Thanks for the comments. Looking at the video and pausing it at certain points does show up all the points you raised, on some it looks like i have reversed curl the weight.

Im unsure by what you mean third pull?

I will video some hang squat cleans later today, i will do them from the front and the side.

Man the clean is hard to get right!

Any specific exercises to get the clean right (apart from the clean i mean!)

Thanks guys

Aaron

Buster, the third pull is where you pull yourself under the bar.  The first pull (from the floor) is merely a positioning pull to bring the bar to the jumping position.  GD and Dan are basically saying that you are explosively deadlifting it to the catch.

Look forward to seeing the further vids and also get to work on those clean drops.

Cheers, kempie

More video as promised, a lot of this sucked, watching the pros do it they seem to have a slow dealdift pop and get under the bar so fast, more practice me thinks!

Thanks

Another quick Q?

Some people are saying that you shouldn’t jump when doing the clean you just rise up on the ball of the foot whilst others say jump a little of the ground into a landing position, is there a right way???

Thanks again
