I recomend you browse “Stretching Scientifically” by Thomas Kurz. A lot of good stuff on dynamic stretches for high kicks there.

I have looked at that extensive article, good stuff. I also found this site as well and has some videos as examples.

Thanks again

What about a scaled version of the warm-up for us puppies? or should be really just stretch and do WOD only since we are new?
Thanks
Paul

That would be fine, scale as needed. Don’t stress too much on the warm up. Throw in stuff you need to work on.

Okay sounds good. I just enjoy all the instruction provided by crossfit , so am a little hesitant at scaling on my own but will do.
Thanks

I typically just row for 5 minutes/1,000meters.  That’s not a blistering pace, but it gets the blood flowing a bit, and bends some joints in the process.

I like to vary my warm-up. Sometimes I’ll do the CF WU, some days I look at what’s been posted as Buy in for the BrandX workout. Lately I’ve started playing with the gymnastics WU’s posted in the CFJ article “The Russian’s Gymnastics Warm-Up”, published November 21. Sometimes I’ll make something up. Sometimes no warm-up, just 3-2-1-GO! Keep it varied.
