I just wanted to say hello and Happy Holidays to all of my Brand X friends. I miss you all very much and can not wait to come visit and train . Hope you are all training hard and making Sifu’s Jeff and Dan proud !! I’m still training at Kirk’s Karate in Kennett Square, but trust me not as fun ( or challenging as Brand X )
Sandra
I too am glad to hear she’s living. Funny, I was just thinking of her this very morning. We miss you! Where has my belt buddy gone? I’m all alone now. Can’t wait til you visit and train with us again.
For those of you who do not know Kennett Square is in PA just across the DE line. Training is every Monday and Wednesday for 2 hrs each. We have a lot of Police and SWAT who come to class as well as a visit from s Navy Seal ( now I know how to filet a person top to toe ) We have a lot of new people so we are reviewing the basics ( stance forma and techniques) it keeps you humble ! We have been training on stick and knives lately ( my favorites ) but I will say nothing beats Brand X I might be biased but trust me !!
Hi you !
We miss you- espescially when we all work together and you are missing…
maybe you are there and we just can’t find you…too tiny…
No I am sure if you were there you be introducing us to some deliscious new red wine you found ?
We did some knife defenses last night and Lene Deb and I tried to actually pound the skin off the bone and I believe we were sucessful !
(Would a real knife have been worse ?) Thanks Sifu Dan for the “Your arms better be red ” encouragement- it worked !
HI SANDRA! LOOKS LIKE YOU TRAIN HARD, THAT’S GOOD TO HEAR. I WOULD NOT EXPECT ANYTHING LESS, BEING A BRAND X’er THAT IS. YOUR SCHOOL IS CALLED KKK. DO YOU WEAR WHITE GI’S W HOODS?
Once upon a time in a land far far from here….a group of warriors in training were doing a multiple attacker drill where you have to go through a gang of people wanting to beat you up in an alley of sorts. They have you up against the wall and then you have to go through them and a few stragglers standing in different positions and you need to run to safety. Well the drill was used in the backlot of a prestigious academy of Kombat and because the lot was really wide we decided to use only half of it and a resident comedian/warrior thought it would be humorous to call the other half of the lot ‘lava’. And that was the half of the lot you weren’t supposed to run through. So twas the origin of the ‘lava drill’.
The End
yeah right. I just know the ‘lava’ drill cause I experienced it first hand along with a few elite others… You taught me something I didn’t know when you were popping my muscles like they were balloons…
