We have too many heroes lost and not enough workout days to commemorate them. I think it’s fitting to always think of the men and women in service, whether military or peace officers and public safety, as we do our workouts. A bit of motivation to throw a little of our sweat and maybe a drop of blood on the floor in their honor.

Good morning all.

Third attempt at the Puppies scaled version of the Filthy.
First time did it in 19:33, second in 15:24.
I reckon if I beat my PR I will be “Pack-ing” the Filthy Bunch the next time they show up wink.

Five rounds for time of:
225 pound Deadlift, 5 reps
10 Burpees

6:33

Thanks everyone for the congrats on the 1st M/U. I was stoked and told everyone that had any Idea. Enough of that now, its not what you did yesterday but what you do today and I was a little disappointed with todays time. Guess I was resting to long during the transition between Burpees and Deads.

playing a bit of catch up: CFWU * 3 (did HSPU progressions instead of pull ups)

Then Split Jerks 1-1-1-1-1-1-1
(kg) 20-30-40-50-55-55-60

first time attempting, so went the conservative approach. I dont think i could lift that much more, but after some shaky 55’s the 60 went up the best of the lot.

A brief hiatus and then, AMRAP in 20 minutes of 400m run/12 tuck pull ups/12 hip ext (used a swiss ball)

Total = 5 rounds + ~100m.

Used treadmill in gym, so starting it and building up pace affects a bit. But glad to have gotten 5 rounds, target for next time as well.

cheers

Yes, things got filthy when the DB thrusters came along. And the burpees ... No [family friendly] words for them. Great WOD though.

Almost 2 minutes slower than the last time.  This was absolutely brutal.  I almost qit but fought through it.  I thought the burpees were going to be the death of me.  That is were I lost most of my time.  Maybe the Cold Stone ice cream wasn’t a good idea last night…

pack filthy 50: 35 ea box jumps 24”, 45# ast pull ups, 35# DB swings, walking lunges, ab mat sit ups, 45# push press, 26# good mornings, wall ball 20#, burpees, singles
23:00

burpees slowed me down really bad.  i was at 18-19min when i started them, broke them up into 5-8 rep sets.  last f50 on 24 oct 08 was 31:55 with alot more subs.  still making small but consistant improvements.  as much as i hate crossfit, i love crossfit!

Push Jerk, following a few days behind
85, 95, 105, 115, 125, 135, 145, 155(f)lbs

Felt really good.  Suprised myself how easy it was up to 145.  I didn’t know what to expect on this exercise, so I was going of my personal record for push press of 95 lbs and going from there.  Very happy.

Hello - This is my first posting after lurking and quietly doing WODs for a couple of months.

WOD for Dec 17: As many rounds in 20 minutes of
Run 400 meters
15 L-Pull-ups (I substituted beginner pull-ups)
15 Hip Extension (I substituted supermans, don’t have the equipment to do these as demonstrated)

Got through exactly 4 rounds.
