Dude, that’s a great score.  And your rowing was strong.  Nice.

There’s a reason they don’t call it “Fight Gone Good”.

Yesterday was a wash - dunno whether it was the aftermath of back squats themselves or the pop in my hip I experienced but I had a high gravity day.  Loaded up 225 for a warm-up set of deads and it felt heavy.  315 went up, grudgingly, once ...  Put it aside, got some food, shower time and played with my boy Jake for a couple hours and then had another go.  Started at 135 this time, then 225 but 315 just didn’t want to play.

So anyways, tectonic plates or gravitational forces or something must have shifted in the last 24 hours.  Had a wake for my father-in-law, lots of food, banter and a few too many vino’s but managed the following

5x225
5x315
5x365
5x390 (PB)

Then attempted “Diane” as a pre challenge benchmark

Got 9 HSPU’s into the second round when I lost count and had to go to the video referee at which point I couldn’t be bothered (see too many vino’s).

Not the best but I’ll take that for today.  See you all back here tomorrow for 2009!

Cheers, kempie

Ran with the big dawgs again as RX’d (when will I ever learn)

Three rounds of:
Wall-ball, 20 pound ball, 10 ft target (Reps)
Sumo deadlift high-pull, 75 pounds (Reps)
Box Jump, 20” box (Reps)
Push-press, 75 pounds (Reps)
Row (Calories)

Point 204

I have an old rowing machine I bought for $5 and it doesn’t have any cal/mil counter so I tried to best estimate what it would have been. I did i cal for every 2 strokes near the hardest setting.

Subbed barbell push w. 45lb bar+10lb
Subbed Run for row
Subbed 16” box
Subbed 45lb for push

SDHP: 19/17/17
BJump: 20/17/23
PP: 12/15/10

I am unsure if it was a good substitutions, I am also unsure of the actual name for the barbell push so I just decided to call it that.

Skill Day
Worked on skills with Pete and David

FIRST MUSCLE UP!!!!!....3 in fact…with witnesses, can it be any sweeter??? <smile>

Had a couple of goals in CF this year.  5 Min Fran (pack) check…..Muscle Up, made it with 12 hours to spare…..20 min Angie, not there yet…40 min Murph, running is still killing times.
Something to work for next year but all in all happy.

I would like to take a second and thank Brand X for all the posting, scaling, inspiration, help, and lots more.  Would love to visit one day if in that part of the world or host if anyone on this side.  Wishing everyone injury free success in the coming year

I had a high gravity day.

Ha! I’m going to file that away for later use.

Sorry to hear about your father-in-law.
