All the canals and lakes are frozen over here in Holland so speedskating it is.

I’m jealous!
When I was a kid a did a lot of (indoor) ice-skating in Belgium, and was allways fascinated when the “elf steden tocht” happened up at the northern end of the Netherlands. Never got to do it outdoors myself though, it just doesn’t get cold enough for long enough down here. Have fun as long as it lasts!

“Part of the fun is that frisson of terror as you check to see what the WOD is for the day.” Metric

“I did a 6:00 AM WOD the other day - Fight Gone Bad. When I saw it on the gym whiteboard I thought “you’ve got to be kidding”. It turned out to be fantastic. I spent the rest of the day knowing that I had slayed a dragon.” Radiosound

“Scale appropriately and warm up well and the most dangerous thing you’ll do today is drive to work.” TexasPatrick

I only had about 20 minutes to get into and out of the gym so I did this quick one yesterday:

21-15-9
Hang Power DB Clean & Jerks 30#
Box Jumps 20”

8:30 - I really enjoyed this workout, just wish the gym wasn’t so PACKED!!

Thought that i had posted this, but i couldnt find it, basically missed doing the pull up variations on friday due to work basically too busy to get out as planned. So saturday morning, cycled to gym then i did a modified pull up variation of: 6rft of 3 weighted pu 35#/5 strict pu/7 kipping

time: 21:57, basically my kipping, still not there, more like a quasi hybrid type.

then front squats 5-5-5-5-5:
(kg) 20-40-50-60-70
flexibiltity issues with my my elbows not getting terribly high, but i hold it in place and my back stays upright. So while not a textbook hold, it all feels stable and pleased with depth. Just keep working on flexibility.
did another 10 pull ups, then cycled home.

mucked around through the afternoon doing some ring dips here and there.

cheers
