PR on back squat (250), very disappointed on press and deadlift was off the mark, also.  All-in-all, a poor way to start the week (or is that “weak”?).

Pack:
Five rounds for time of:
20 Glute-ham sit-ups (Limit ROM unles you are accustom to this movement) - Used Smith machine and bench went about 25 degrees past horizontal
15 Back extensions

Misread instructions and did five rounds instead of four - time 10:14.  Looking forward to tomorrow’s WOD smile

Okay, I don’t have a GHD for the sit-ups.

And I seem to have a bit of a tender spot on my ...er… lower back from all regular sit-ups I’ve been doing.  I’m doing the Pack level WO and was thinking subing in K2E’s instead of the situps.

What would be a good ratio for this sub, 1-1?

Search the forum for the phrase “monkey butt”.  There are cures offered . . . . amongst other things.

warm-up
2 rounds of:
10 k-2-e
10 squats
5 push-ups

26 HSPU 45 in the WOD below. regular, hands on deck—52 in the bank wink

ME Work
Back squat
[3@185 warm-up]
3@210
3@245
3@265 depth on 1?  Mid-food on 2/3.
3@285 new 3RM A bit sloppy on way up.  Repeat before moving up.
(3min rest b/w sets)

<10min rest, then…

WOD
Fatal Fifteen or Friane?
3 rounds for time:
15 deadlift, 225#
15 HSPU
15 pull-ups
15 thrusters, 95#
1/26/2009=20:30 (4:45/7:18/8:26)(HSPU head-to-deck)

I’ve had the plan for more than 6mo to do this one today… last time was almost exactly 1 year ago…
First rd flew; all 15 DLs, 8,4,3 HSPU, 15 pull-ups, and I think 10,5 for the thrusters.  Others rounds, obviously a *bit* more broken wink  Time drop of is amazing!
My average Diane time is ~16min as Rxd and 10min for 9x 5rep scheme.  My average Rxd Fran is just under 5min.  So I’m pleased with this time and the improvement.
A great WOD!

1/31/2008=23:02 (6:59/7:50/8:13)(not full ROM HSPU)

It wasn’t until someone started referring to a suggested cure as “butt-lube” that things got really messy. And TP’s first attempt to offer assistance with this problem was quite genuine as I recall. http://www.crossfitbrandx.com/index.php/forums/viewreply/47160/
