What a day, Nichole!
a.m.
5 rounds
Run 400m
20 D-ball

Pull up work-kipping is hurting back. Jeff, Mikki & I worked on changing my kip to lessen this.

Back squat-got up to 110 x 5, back held out fairly well but depth is an issue due to pain and the fear factor

p.m.

Yesterday I was back at it after a lovely 5 day birthday trip to Mexico with my now 40-year-old wife. Lots of Mexican food & Margaritas don’t equal out to high performance upon return.

1000M Row

Back Squat
WU Sets, then a short work set of 245 x 3 x 2 to figure out my recent form trouble. We did & I look forward to getting back on the train next week.

5 Minutes - AMRAP

T2B & K2E (Numbers for both exercises must be even, i.e. - the same number of each when the clock strikes 5 or you don’t get to count the extras.) I got a paltry 26.

Then a variation on one the Stupid Swede & DumbAss show brought to town a couple days ago.

“Uppity Randy’s Little Niece”

15 Rounds

2 Seated Muscle-Ups
5 Hang Power Snatch, 75#

Was on pace to finish only a couple minutes after Jeff’s time, but things went south in rounds 14 & 15.

What weights do you use for the 30 rounds for time. That sounds fun also

My strategy - I plan to try it with my 30# bar to set the baseline.  Then, I can keep getting PRs.  wink

So, if I was doing Barbara and I couldn’t do all the pull-ups, the “go to” plan would be jumping pull-ups dropping as slow as I can, correct? Or would it be better to do .... beginner pull-ups like my fiance….

When you start to hurt, when you want to quit, when you think you’ve had enough; that’s just when it starts to count.
