Thruster 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 reps

95-105-115-125-135-145-155(f)

No previous attempts, so nothing to compare it to.

Working on the form for my deadlifts has really helped with my ability generate more power out of my legs and to clean more weight. w00t.

“That little red thing” is named Gossamer, and appeared in several Warner Brothers Cartoons with both Bugs Bunny and Marvin the Martian….more useless trivia!

LOL!  I notice TP has a new avatar too

Yeah, I think it all goes back to the following quote found in the Zone Bar Thread. wink

Metric - 26 January 2009 10:34 AM
TexasPatrick - 25 January 2009 03:47 PM

Metric - we need some kind of symbol to mark those threads that have gone straight down to the 7 yo boy level.

Those are the ones where I’m talking .  .  .

That’s what I figured.

We’ve already got one.
Anyplace you see that little red, (what is that thing in your avatar TP?) thing in a topic, you know it’s at 7y.o level and descending.

Of course as most topics start off at 14y.o. level, they don’t have far to go. mad

Read the Zone bar thread http://www.crossfitbrandx.com/index.php/forums/viewthread/5963/. This was covered, with wikipedia links and everything.

The thread is now so far off track from Zone Perfect bars it should probably be renamed. grin

At Brand X today the buy in was a 200M run and cartwheels and GOOD squats for 5 minutes.

Then the fun began.  AMRAP in 15 minutes of: 100M skipping and 5 knees to elbow,5 toes to bar,5 knees to elbow 5 toes to bar.  All mine look virtually the same so I think I got 4 (or maybe 5) full rounds.  I started on another skipping session when time was called.  I really need to work on those KTE and TTB.  Mine are pretty awful.  Then I did 10 handstand push up progressions.  Oh,I think we need to be as progressive as Portland and get some golf clubs instead of PVC pipe. The workouts will go so much better that way.

Thrusters 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 reps

45#-65#-65#-65#-75#-75#-75#

Definitely not my best effort (though I’ve never done thrusters before so I have no comparison).

Thruster (7x1)
1) 95/1
2) 115/1
3) 135/1
4) 145/1
5) 155/miss
6) 150/1
7) 155/1

First time really doing thrusters as a workout. A bit reckless with my personal weights given that information I think. I had trouble staying tight, my back hyperextended quite a bit on that last set during the pressing portion. I think it may just be a weak core and the fact that I’m not keeping my butt tight on the top portion.

I’m going to focus on form more closely now, no interest in hurting myself.

Warmed up by shoveling the drive, ~30’x10’x4” - 35 mins.

Thrusters
1-1-1-1-1-1-1

115lb, 120lb, 125lb, 130lb, 125lb, 120lb, 115lb

Aggravated an old shoulder injury whilst shoveling snow yesterday.  This made holding the bar in the rack position a wee bit painful.

Might become a verb:

TPed: to take a thread so far off track you need a nav sat to find your way back . . .
