The mainpage of CrossFit directs new people here for help getting started. CF can be confusing enough for a newbie, we want to make it as easy as possible for them. We ask you to be courteous and thoughtful of the newbies. If they show up here for the first time and have to wade through 5-10 posts before we have a chance to scale for them, it can make it more difficult.
Got called into work tonight so it was a late night leg day for me…
I did my lower body heavy day workout as a warm-up and then went into the:
“Thruster 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 reps”
135-145-155-165-175-185-195
Time was 4:45, don’t know if that’s important.
I felt I could have went higher in weight earlier and finished the sets. I will go heavier next time around, as this was my first time doing Thrusters for weight.
5 rounds of:
9 Cleans (more or less power cleans), 31 kg
18 (one-leg-assisted) dips
Time: 19.05.
My November “Elisabeth” time was much better, but back then I used a 1.5X bench dip sub.
I reach failure very easily on dips, even though I use the legs for assistance…
For those wondering about dumbbell cleans here is a WOD video that shows them. It’s not an instructional video so no cues but the execution is pretty good from memory
I’ve never done a clean before. So I’m not sure what to start with. “Barbie” squats yesterday were very challenging. So should I start cleans with 5 lbs dumbells? And make sure the form is right? With a full squat in the move?
Dips are Feet on floor, hands on bench correct?
THanks
Sarah
Did some paralette and HSPU progression work this morning:
3 x 20 sec tuck sit
3 x max L sit (pretty ugly)
2 x 10 pike HSPU on paralette (head to floor)
