I am a newbie and have been reading many threads and have noticed some members posting Buy in & Cash Outs. Do they come up with these on there own and should all of us be doing some sort of Buy in & cash out.? What’s the best way to come up with the correct exercises to do? I am doing a warm up before the WOD, is that fine?
Thanks
Chris

Don’t get too caught up in ths, if you follow the WOD on this site then follow the buy in and cash out as is. Otherwise, just do your warm up.

Thanks, but is there a buy in and cash out posted on WOD? I haven’t seen it.

Yes there is on the Brand X WOD. The first WOD is the main site and there is not.

Buy in and Cash out are the Brand X way to include skill work in the warm up and cool down.

I’ve always wondered about that too. Where exactly is the Buy in and Cash out posted? Is there a BrandX WOD topic seperate from the Crossfit WOD topic?

Kiddo - each day’s BrandX class is posted in the daily WOD thread, typically by BBoJ, Big D, GD, Marla Singer, or Go_Irish. An example is BBoJ’s post, #64, here

You’ll see some of the BrandX trainers post the workout that they lead for the day.
That post will include the Buy-In/Cash-Out.

Lately I’ve not seen them tho. I think everyone does their own stuff now, concentrating on the weaker points.

You will almost always find a Buy in & Cash out at Brand X. Usually Mon, Wed & Fri. @ 630 am. on the forum.

Definitely not, they’re always programmed for Brand Xers, it;‘s just that the Satellite Brand Xers out number the BXers by so many factors these days that it’s difficult to spot the BX trainers posting.
Looks for posts from Marla Singer (aka Mrs CrossFit Mom), Big D (who’s apparently mellowed from breaking stuff) and Unforgibbon.
I’d poke fun at U. but he spends 2/3rds of his WOD posts doing that anyway so I may as well not bother.

And his self-deprecations are better than my deprecations so, there’s that . . .
