Clean and Jerk 1-1-1-1-1-1-1

Wanted to emphasize form work rather than weight progression.
95x3-105x3-105-115-125-135-135

The worked hang power cleans to try and nail the movement, as the transition from hang to clean is my issue.

I did both the deadlift and the clean and jerk today as I am in the process of learning both of those lifts.

On the deadlift, I did a few reps with just the bar then:
-65lb * 2
-75lb * 2
-95lb * 2
- 115lb * 2
-135lb * 2
-165lb * 2
-205lb * 2
-225lb * 2

I took a break and ran a half mile and did some stretches then moved to my clean and jerk.
-A few reps with just the bar
-65lb * 2
-75lb * 2
-95lb * 6

I have never done this movement before, although I have doene the clean and jerk each separately. This was more of skill session for me. I worked on the movemen t for about a half hour, empty handed, empty bar, progressing to short sets with 85# and 95#. I need to work on the clean more than the jerk….........

Practiced form on the C&J since I managed to dislocate my shoulder last time I push jerked. Still managed a PR at 60kg. Then felt like I actually wanted to lift something heavy so did:

Bench press: 58.5kgx5(PR)
Back squat: 107.5kgx5(PR)
Weighted pullup 16kgx1(PR)

C+J seven singles:
worked up to 165#, then did seven of those.
CF is working for me: this is a PR load and i felt solid and crisp (no awkward half pushpress, half jerk stuff going on);
used power clean and split jerk;
