I guess I should let everyone know . . . I will be moving back to San Diego at the end of May. I love Portland dearly but I want to be close to my family - I miss them!! I can now get some proper training in : )

Congratulations! I’m sure you’ll be making quite a few people very happy.

yyyayyyyyaaaayyyyyy!!!!!

We have too many heroes lost and not enough workout days to commemorate them. I think it’s fitting to always think of the men and women in service, whether military or peace officers and public safety, as we do our workouts. A bit of motivation to throw a little of our sweat and maybe a drop of blood on the floor in their honor.

There is no substitute for good coaching.

Finally!

Now GD can stop trying to be subtle when he’s “hinting” that you should come back.
He wasn’t very good at it and I think he hurt himself trying.

BrandX will be much richer for your return.

Can’t say that I am disappointed with the news that Nichole will be back in San Diego.  She misses her family (sniff).  She also misses her Crossfit family at Brand X also. I am looking forward to working out with her!

@CFEC
Push Jerk. 1-1-1-1-1-1-1
I only managed to prove I can’t do it, again.

So, I am seriously frustrated about this:
Same as last time. great with the barbell and light weights.
but, when I get to right around my shoulder press 1RM, i stop getting under the bar and it becomes more of a push press.

I have similar problems, the only place so far that I can Push jerk is with a 24kg Kettle bell, ‘cause there is no way I can press it up. If I don’t get under it I fail, plain and simple feed back.
It’s driving me a bit nuts, but since I seem to finally getting under the bar on a consistent basis with the clean, I know that I will get the Push jerk , persistence pays off.

CFE Wod this arvo

Tabata. Used Beep test shuttles as run course + boots + 14kg

Warm up level 5 in boots (easy- maybe should make it higher for warm up) then switched to Tabata for the shuttles going for max lengths each 20secs

Would be great to have someone to count, record and push me.. But hey its a free extra mental challenge wink

Managed 4, 4, 4, 3.75, 3.5, 3.5, 3.3, 3.25 lengths respectively

90 s recovery then steady flat jog with kit 800m in 4m 23secs

Gonna have to work on getting all Tabata reps up to 4 lengths with 16kg + 2.5kg simulated rifle hand weight. Its definitely do-able grin

12.03.09 had an early rest day, cycled to and from work

13.30.09

Just one of those days, early morning (as opposed to evening), also a bit more rushed. Anyway, some days are like that.
