The mainpage of CrossFit directs new people here for help getting started.  CF can be confusing enough for a newbie, we want to make it as easy as possible for them.  We ask you to be courteous and thoughtful of the newbies.  If they show up here for the first time and have to wade through 5-10 posts before we have a chance to scale for them, it can make it more difficult.

We have too many heroes lost and not enough workout days to commemorate them. I think it’s fitting to always think of the men and women in service, whether military or peace officers and public safety, as we do our workouts. A bit of motivation to throw a little of our sweat and maybe a drop of blood on the floor in their honor.

These days there’s dudes gettin’ facials, manicured, waxed and botoxed. With deep spray-on tans and creamy lotiony hands you can’t grip a tackle box.

Yeah, with all of these men linein’ up to get neutered it’s hip now to be feminized. I don’t highlight my hair, I’ve still
got a pair. Yeah, honey I’m still a guy.

Oh my eyebrows ain’t plucked there’s a gun in my truck. Oh thank god, I’m still a guy.

Say the preschool class video and had something very similar in mind.

How long is the preschool class?
Is it like the regular kids class or are parents “in” the class to help the kids?
How are you charging for the class?

Puppy J.T.:

15-12-9
HSPU (feet or knees to bench)
Bench dips
Push ups

25:19

First 10 HSPU were piked feet to bench, then knees to bench/ body vertical until 9th of second round, then knees to bench/ body wider angle.  All sets badly broken.  Triceps didn’t hurt, just wouldn’t work.

c2b means chest to bar. Instead of just bringing chin over bar. It was the standard of pullup at the last crossfit games.

I haven’t been this sore for a long time.  I had forgotten how good it feels to have some solid workouts under my belt.  Today I did:

Puppies:
Four rounds for time of:
55-75 pound Hang squat clean, 5 reps
3 Beginner Rope climbs

Well, that was the workout, but I modified it.  I did four rounds for time with 95lb Hang squat cleans, 5 reps, and 3 towel pull-ups.  This was my first time doing both hang squat cleans and towel pull-ups.  I completed the four rounds in 10:42.
I think about 20% of the squat cleans were not all deep enough, something to work on in the future.  I was surprised that the towel pull-ups seemed easier than regular pull-ups.  I was actually able to do all of them without jumping…which would have been tough considering my knees were almost hitting the ground from a dead hang.

FUN!

Vindi:

Glad you enjoyed it! It looks like your sub for the rope climbs was a little off though. 3 Towel pullups (if that’s all you did) isn’t the right sub for a 15’ rope climb. The recommended sub is 15 towel pullups= 1 15’ rope climb. Personally, this is agony for me the next day, and I’ve been working up to it. I would recommend looking at the main site’s example here :

http://media.crossfit.com/cf-video/CrossFit_RopeClimbDemo.wmv

The beginner rope climbs are at the end of the vid. For the towel pullup variations, look here:
