I often have sore and tight hamstrings, which I know is common but I’m a little concerned about it.  Before and after I workout when I warm up and stretch, my hamstring pops right in the middle of it.  It loosens up a little after the pop, just one on each leg, and it makes my hamstrings feel better.  It can happen a few times a day if I just stretch a little.  What could be popping in the middle of my muscle?

if its not hurting then its probably just gases being released from the joints.  its fine.

Don’t know… sometimes I get a feeling like that and it definitely isn’t in a joint.  That said, I agree that if it doesn’t hurt it likely isn’t something to worry about.

Sorry I can’t shed more light on it.

Thanks for the responses!  I don’t think it’s a joint because it is right in the middle of the back my thigh, however it doesn’t hurt it actually relieves some of the muscle tightness.  But you’re right maybe it’s just a release of something in the muscle.
