Hoping this is a sign that with a bit of work I’ll get a wide grip supported HSPU soon.

Ooh, thats cool!  Good luck!

—edit— I shouldn’t say, “Good luck!”  but instead, “Way to go!”  Luck has nothing to do with your hard work!

Ha! TP—Addin’ weight to the girly bar since 2008 . . . .

So basically women use 45# bar, and so does TP smile

More or less . . . but don’t hold me to it. wink

Diane
21-15-9
80kg Deadlifts
HSPU progression - piked on a 24” box

7:43

The deadlifts were a slog and a struggle to maintain lumbar and (especially) thoracic extension, the HSPU were easy.
Hoping this is a sign that with a bit of work I’ll get a wide grip supported HSPU soon.

Nice!

Too much time riding a chair, agin. My spinal erectors have turned into jelly, again.

It’s so annoying when work hinders our workouts.  grin

wife and i have been on a tues, fri off days schedule.  if there have been a rest day when our schedule says workout, we’ve been doing the painstorm.  my ? is could one of you scale this month’s?  i know i could just catch up with what we rested with but this seems more… fun?  Painstorm follows with my suggested scale in [brackets]

The April Painstorm (courtesy of CrossFit NorthEast England):
10 rounds for time of:
3 Muscle-ups [9jumping pullups, 9dips]
3 Power Snatch (135 lbs) [75#him, 45#her]
3 Clean and Jerk (anyhow) 135 lbs [same weight as snatch]
50m Overhead Carry (135 lbs) [same weight as snatch]

does that sound between pack and puppie?

Yes! Darn rude.

I tell you, if they weren’t paying me I wouldn’t turn up!

Thanks FD.

Well lately “hard work” has been sitting in front of a computer thinking about training, and some HSPU practise in hotel rooms in the mornings.
Although one motel did have a convenient brick wall I could practise handstands on. Surprising how few are considerate enough to leave wall space clear of doors and windows for this sort of thing. You’d think they have some sort of objection to people putting their feet up on the wall or something?

Thanks Vindi.

Holy smokes! Just seen the WOD for tomorrow….......

Anyhows today sport specific.

Beep Test boots 15kg day sack + 2.5kg plate in hand to replicate rifle
W/U boots only level 4

L8.9 Some levels almost missed the beep but caught up…. if I had someone there I’d say that level 9.4 would have been in the bag!  Still a PR at 17.5kgs happy days grin

Up to level 7 things felt good and relaxed then it was work time - breathing was hard but ok- the legs were trashed from last two WODs (5RFT SU/GM’s with 20kg and FGB)

Had 90s-2min recovery then 800m as fast as poss with kit - 5min 7 secs

Progress

25/12/08 Level 9.1 trainers and shorts
03/01/09 Level 5 (long course so =L7) boots and 10kg daysack
10/01/09 level 7.1 14kg daysack + 800m run with kit 5min 45secs
17/02/09 Level 8.8 12kg daysack
26/02/09 Level 8.1 14.5kg daysack
28/02/09 Level 8.4 14kg daysack
19/03/09 Leved 9.1 15kg daysack + 800m run in kit 5min 25secs

This arvo Mil swim test in DPM shirt and trousers
5min Tread water
400 B/S
150 Side stroke (replicating towing)
4X20 m underwater swim with 1 min recovery

Clunked my right knee/tib - maybe hyper extended.
