150 lbs 7 times. I never can figure out how much to wait in between sets. Any rule of thumbs? thanks Pat

3-5 minutes is what I do.  If I do an ascending set the rest between the earlier sets are shorter (3 min) the rests near my top end are longer (5 min).  If it’s straight across like you did, it’s more like 3-4 since I’m not pushing the top end.

Power Cleans

1-1-1-1-1-1-1

95-115-135-145-155(pr!!)-155-155(fail)

i got nervous on the last one and didnt complete it. Its hard to do olympic lifts at a gym where everyone is silently doing machines. Im the only one grunting….or sweating…or doing oly lifts…or real squats for that matter. Some guys are ripped somehow but are only doing shrugs and smith machine bench presses. I suspect steroids.

Crossfti changed my life! XD

Hello-ignore if you’re already doing this offline, but it’s good to note if you modified/scaled any of the weights, or if you went Rx’d.  It’s a helpful reference point for next time it comes up and allows you to track progress.

Cheers.

I should’ve started lighter.  I actually had some prior numbers to work with for this WOD, but still poorly miscalculated.  The 135 went up so beautifully, I felt sure 145 would go up fine.  It didn’t.  Neither did 140 or 135 the second time around. :-(  So, I went back to 95 and got a single with good form, then did 5x95# in the cash out and two rounds of 5x45# for practice.

Inertia plays a mighty role in recovery, and an object at rest on a couch can stay there for a long time.

Fast and furious today.  Short warm-up followed by

Power Cleans 1-1-1-1-1-1-1
89-111-121-133-143F-138-138

The first attempt at 138 was a little ugly but the last one came together pretty good.

Power Cleans

Still need a lot of work on my form so I started with the bar and worked on technique. Eventually did 15-20 reps with 95 pounds. Feels like its getting better but I think I have a way to go before I start trying to push the weight. Left wrist still bothers me when I rack the bar across my chest.

Finished up playing with my new rings. Did 6 ugly muscle-ups but I guess ugly is better than none, right?

Cash in 5 - 10 - 15 - 20 ladder pushups alt with situps.

Power Clean

115 165 165 165 185 185.  I am sure my form is poor.  I get the weight to my shoulder, but definantly don’t get a “jump”.  Slow getting under the bar, and very little lift with my legs after the initial dead lift.

Worked on form with just the bar.

20 incline situps.
