I got multiple field ops comming up, and was wondering what was a good way to keep myself from getting out shape. Whats a good set of exersizes to do without weights or anything of the sort to keep from getting lazy?

I was thinking about doing the burpee ladder listed on the CrossFit Portable (Traveling) Workouts, but I can’t do many more because there won’t be a pullup bar out there, and I can’t measure distance to run anywhere.

Um, really?

It’s just that you posted your question in the right place, but in the same forum you posted to there are dozens of ideas for no-equipment workouts posted already.

Dbooney…

When I went to the field, I would bring a couple of dumb bells, a jump rope, a kettlebell and my rings with me.  Remember that ANYTHING can be used in Crossfit workout.  AMMO cans, water/fuel jugs, sandbags, sledgehammers, spare tires, your buddy…

This is your opportunity to play with different things.  You don’t have to measure distances… you don’t have to know the weight of the objects your carrying.  All you have to know is what your getting out of it.  Keep your workouts SHORT and INTENSE.

Good luck.

Whenever I go traveling, I bring my dumbbells with me. Me and my friends also play games where the looser has to do push ups of 30 to 50. Before I book in a hotel, I see to it that the gym is accessible and the public places such as resto and parks are all walking distance, so that I’ll justify that taking a cab is not practical.

Moves in the Field is a name given to elements of figure skating that emphasize basic skating skills and edge control. In the context of a competitive program, moves in the field include spirals, spread eagles, Ina Bauers, hydroblading, and similar extended edge moves.

In the United States, moves in the field also refers to a set of skill tests consisting of progressively difficult edge and step patterns. Similar concepts are called field moves in the United Kingdom and skating skills in Canada. Following the abolition of compulsory figures from international competition in 1990, figure skating federations in several countries developed these drills to teach the same elements as compulsory figures within a free skating discipline. For example, whereas skaters formerly learned advanced turns such as brackets, rockers, and counters by doing them in compulsory figures, now those elements are taught in the context of standard step sequences with an emphasis on power, carriage, and flow, rather than on tracing precise patterns on the ice.

Dude, what planet are you from?

I’ve been noticing a lot of those types of posts in the last few days. If you notice the posters have 3 - 5 posts and they joined the day they posted. I think it’s spam advertising for the links in their sig. I find it annoying.
