Another gym workout…

Started with the idea of AMRAP 20

15 hang power clean
10 thrusters
5 shoulder press

but I picked 75# for weight.

I coudn’t shoulder press it after the thrusters.

Ended up doing 3 rounds + 10 HPC of

10 hang power clean (15 in first round)
10 thrusters
5 Pushups.

Smoked me. 75# is heavy.

We have too many heroes lost and not enough workout days to commemorate them. I think it’s fitting to always think of the men and women in service, whether military or peace officers and public safety, as we do our workouts. A bit of motivation to throw a little of our sweat and maybe a drop of blood on the floor in their honor.

There is no substitute for good coaching.

slightly modified Run/pullup WOD
Ran 1200 m - 5.27
10 PU / 15s L Hold - 2.53 (first time hitting this number in about a year, woo hoo!!!)
Ran 800 m - 4.07
10 PU - 2.17 (forgot the L-Hold)
800 m - 4.15
10 PU / 15s L Hold - 6.39

Dissatisfied with run times, so I walked about 400 m, felt pretty good and then

Ran another 800 m - 5.09 (really spent evidently)
5 PU - to close out…

Run 5k

26:51.82

Even worse than last time.  Couldn’t keep .62 pace.  Not sure whether it’s because of sleep deprivation or weight gain (~170# last time I checked).  Maybe I should run without the tempo trainer- it might be causing me to relax.
