First 3 rounds I did 10 pullups on my own with the remainder with feet resting on bench. Last 3 - I did 5 with the remainder assisted
Situps were anchored.
1) do these numbers mean both legs (left + right) or one leg = 1 lunge?
2) what is the standard lunge substitute if you don’t have room for walking lunges? I see a number of people have subbed 30-32 lunges = 100’.
Actually looking forward to this one!
Thanks in advance for your answers!
I can tell you the way I do it . I do 30 steps or the length of my garage 5 times . My garage is 20’ deep . It’s 100’ worth of lunges NOT 100’ per leg ( ouch) I’ve thought about doing it in the street in front of the house but the neighbors already look at me funny when a wod like Helen comes up and I’m sprinting out of my garage and down 5 mailboxes over and over , not to mention the other crossfit craziness they witness on a day to day basis in my garage . Ain’t crossfit cool!!!!!!!

Well i guessed that 1 lunge = 3ft so approx 33/34 lunges = 100ft. Its about right although I have seen others on the main site do as low as 20. Im sticking with my sub as its what I always do when walking lunges comes up and keeps me consistent and honest.
Last time I did this I posted a 19:46 time but didn’t say what my scaling was. I had to of scaled back to get that time because I know I couldn’t do the pull-ups without assistance back then. This will have to be my new starting point for the next time this WOD comes around.
I saw another guy my age did it in like 8 min! I must be taking too long on the lunges. I did 32 walking lunges per round, but I was standing upright and stopping between them, I guess that must be wrong?
Have to do better next time. I guess my excuse is yesterday was a like a death-march.

Short guys lose out on lunges for distance . . . .
My backyard is 50’ across so out and back, it usually takes like 14.5 steps so I can either traipse across out and back . . or in the garage do 30 lunges. So either go the 100 feet or measure out 10 feet, lunge, count steps.
You can stop on this, but it just wastes time unless your legs are fried. Just stand up completely and get going again. Also, I find that if you do it on concrete, rather than grass or something soft like a mat, I go LOTS slower getting that knee to “gently” kiss the ground thus the exercise is harder.
