Hi,

On the topic of “Workouts on the go”, here are two spreadsheets I made that I use sometimes to workout. When I’m at home or when I travel, I always have access to a computer with Excel.

The first creates lists of randomly selected exercises. Put whatever exercises you want in the master list, assign each exercise a probability of selection, and it selects from that list with that probability:

(safe for work, family, school, etc.)

The second program displays each exercise, one by one, in large font on the screen with a certain delay between exercises. This is nice because you can see it across the room. I’m mainly using this one now for barbell complexes:

I put a video of the second one in action here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FshzqwyRKE

Enjoy,

Justin

True, but most GOOD crossfit routines are not just some mash of exercises.  The good ones let you pound one area of the body, then before you completely waste that, pop off on some other area, then back to the first one.

On and on probability selection: burpees = 0 . . . . which means I should probably set it at 100 . . .

Yup, edit it as required, goes without saying…

Hi,

Here’s another video of the second one in action. I’m doing a short randomized sandbag complex, with a 50lb sandbag, randomly selecting exercises from {Curl, Deadlift, Press, Squat}: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lrPkH9dAeY
