Run 5 K
Post time to comments.

Please hold questions and comments until Garddawg or BlueBugofJustice post the scaling , which usually includes links to exercise videos, common substitutions and other helpful information.
The mainpage of CrossFit directs new people here for help getting started. CF can be confusing enough for a newbie, we want to make it as easy as possible for them. We ask you to be courteous and thoughtful of the newbies. If they show up here for the first time and have to wade through 5-10 posts before we have a chance to scale for them, it can make it more difficult.

I did a 3K time trial on the track. It’s 22°C outside, at least, and sunny. It was hot!

Not happy with this. I’m thinking doing the Terrible 35 last yesterday then running early this morning wasn’t a good plan. I may try the run again later today, depends on the heat and humidity.

push press: 25x40#, 25x30#

8:47 on first split,
thought I needed to improve on that.
16:31 at the finish line.
Next time, I’ll try two of those second miles.

2.1 miles - 16:12
I was on pace for a 24:00 5k, but my shins had other plans, given that my last run for any distance over 800m was my last 5k on 25 May, when I made 25:03.
I actually got pretty mad at myself, so I decided to bike 5k immediately after - 10:39
I obviously need to run for distance more often…
Get some.
