Run 10 K

Post time to comments.

Compare to 090701.

Please hold questions and comments until Garddawg or BlueBugofJustice post the scaling, which usually includes links to exercise videos, common substitutions and other helpful information.
The mainpage of CrossFit directs new people here for help getting started.  CF can be confusing enough for a newbie, we want to make it as easy as possible for them.  We ask you to be courteous and thoughtful of the newbies.  If they show up here for the first time and have to wade through 5-10 posts before we have a chance to scale for them, it can make it more difficult.

29-7

Cindy

5x pullup strict, 10x pushup, 15x squat, 20 minutes amrap

19 rounds, I’m very happy with this

pullups dropped to 4 after rd 10 and 3 after round 15.

I did the same workout on 5 July this year, and got 15 rounds, - almost a 25% improvement in less than a month!

Also, zone diet seems to have ‘kicked in’ after being on it strict for 3 weeks. My weight and leanness did not budge until the last 7 days, when the pounds have started to drop off quite quickly and my clothes fit differently. Recovery is improving, and I don’t seem to need as much sleep (I’m sleeping about 45 minutes less to make time for zone breakfast before workout, but am jumping out of bed rather then falling out), I think my body has started to learn how to burn fat…sound normal?

Yesterday’s Clean and Jerk ladder: 43kg full 7th + 3
Managed the 7th minute with 5 seconds to spare, then plain ran out of energy.

Today’s WOD C2 row 6k 25:15, down from last time 26:45.

Pack clean & jerk ladder:
With a continuously running clock do one 40 kg Clean and Jerk the first minute, two 40 kg Clean and Jerks the second minute, three 40 kg Clean and Jerks the third minute… continuing as long as you are able.

8 rds. + 5 C&Js;Mental weakness not to complete the ninth minute, I was gassed but should have been able to get there.

And am I the only one that looks forward to the running WODs?

Wow yesterdays Ladder was awesome. 9 rounds + 3 at 115lbs.  Pretty pumped about this, but could have probably gotten more but was so gased that after that 3rd rep I hit the floor! ouch!

5k today = S*

Sounds about right!

Good job.  I think it’s that first three weeks that’s the hardest.  Now when you get skinny, just monitor your performance.  One bad day?  Eh, it happens.  Get 2 or three bad wods and it’s time to up the fat.
