I love CrossFit and fully appreciate that this is a free resource. I am also very thick skinned so I don’t have issues with Adult Content or language use.

But…I passed on the CrossFit site to a couple of women at work who are extremely into fitness as are their families and I mentioned the workout demos and everyone was really interested so I think you might have some new devotees before long.

The Lynne WOD “Lynne (Brendan G.)...[wmv]” video demo is a great demo but the song that goes with it would totally freak one of those women out! The song is not respectful of women at all! I can deal with it, I just turn the volume down, its not an issue for me but it does make me a bit uneasy to think that she might come back to me with that. I can see her watching it with her teenagers and ... well you know the rest.

When we registered, the instructions made it clear that you saw the site as a resource for all and wanted to keep it family friendly and this one video does not fall into that category. To be kept in mind for future videos perhaps.

I couldn’t find the “Lynne (Brendan G.)...[wmv]“ video on the BrandX site…

I’m sorry, that is at the CrossFit Main Site under The “Girls”/Named WOD. I think I have directed this message to the wrong parties. If so I apologize to those at the BrandX site.

You’re not the first person to complain about the music used in (some of) the mainsite videos.

Round here the BX made videos come with standard gym background noise, or Celtic rock, celtic or Country and Western backing tracks.

If you complain about that music we’ll evict your butt. And that was a joke!

Yeah, sorry you found out this way but the mainsite is not always wfs.  I feel sorry for folks that get ambushed.  I don’t mind knowing it’s there, or hearing it but yeah, a little warning would be nice.

Bagpipes…..are not always work safe family safe.  Occasionally the background gym noise isn’t either.

In our house bagpipes are not only WFS they’re also required listening.

Or do you refer to your practise sessions on your gift from scotland?

I love bagpipes, just not the sound of my own.

I’m sure Duncan could learn them if you let him practise while balancing on a parallete or something.
Or maybe you’ll finally find something that kid can’t do, besides keep his shoes on I mean. grin

Hmm, maybe I should send him a practise chanter for his next birthday. wink

Got one.  It makes the same horrible noise the other thing does.

You play fiddle?
I mean recognisable tunes and stuff?

If you’re really bad you could join in and we could have a Session. GD will drown us out with the pipes anyway.
Me? I can’t play my bodhran because I can actually play that. I do have a xaphoon I really suck at playing, maybe that.
