Well I know I ran a 5K yesterday and I pushed a bit hard for my pace setting anew PR by 7 seconds…..
But today I did a Triathlon - Springt (400M swim/9Mile Bike/5K)
400M Swim - 8’21"64 (PR by 31"36 seconds from my fastest 400M of 8’53"00)
9 Mile Bike - 28’33"02 (New PR by 22"29 seconds)
5K run - 30’51"27 (Not a PR for the Tri. On this event I actually was a bit slower this time than last time by -13"73 seconds)
Transition - 3’28"94/2’28"81
Total Time including transition between stages was - 1:13’43 This is a PR by 2’59"00 (49 seconds gain on the excercises and 2’10"00 picked up on transition and
recovery.
From the swim to the bike I was felling strong but again when the bike ride finished and I had to start running the crampping was pretty severe (It made me slowdown
to 4-5MPH pace for the first ~800M (last time I was able to fight it keeping the pace ~6MPH or higher). This was the main reason of why my run was longer. Does any one has any suggestions for this kind of situation? what can be done during transition to help this crampping?
