I am without weights, so I cooked this up for myself:
5 rounds-
20 box jumps 16”
20 elevated pushups
20 squats
3 pullups

= 13:38

135(x’s 5)

205-255-275(f)-275-300(f)-275

I think i could get 300 up, but was tired from swimming and my swim trunks kept grabbing my knee (why i failed the first 275). I’m happy with 275 for now though.

“Rest Day”

Ha! Cut lawn and trim trees today. Made initial “modification” to base housing garage as well - hang my pull up bar. Nice. The garage is a two door job with one of those ceiling “dividers” - ideal for hanging my bar. I make a small jump, hang free and kip as much as I want. Wahooo!!!

Wonder if I can have the garage gym done before my wife gets here in September….. “What new gym stuff honey? Oh, that. You know, I found this great deal on Craigslist and…....” Nice dream anyways. I’d be dead, she’d be rich, and all that gear really would be on craigslist then. grin

Today we did Fight Gone Bad:
WB: 30/20/18
PP: 30/20/18
SDHP:30/20/18
BJ: 20/21/19
ROW: 18/18/15
Total: 315pr by 82 (233 in Nov 08)

When I first did my math, about 30secs after the WO, I came out with 295. And I thought that this was awesome, 60+ pt improvement. Then when I sat down to log in on here, I checked my math on the calculator and realized that I am a total moron. Well that means I got some explaining to do on Monday for this. Which translates to 2min of burpees as a penalty or something crazy like that. Oh and I also realized that if I don’t kick the living crap out of someone in the first 5 min, I might not make it in the later rds. Well hopefully the other guy gets worst in his later rds as well.

In this case bro, better to ask for forgiveness then permission. She will get it over it, either with you or your money wink

Not the greatest results for me today. Last time I recorded back squats, I maxed out at 315# for 3 reps. In hindsight, I should’ve grabbed a workout partner.

Wow.  Just wow.  I just tried to come up with a natural enemy, but pretty much that sounds like the honey badger of spouses . . .  Very very cool . . . don’t mess with it . . . yeah, forgiveness, that’s what God sorts out . . .

Got out to Crossfit East Sacramento this morning for the Running Skillz Seminar.

While I was waiting for the seminar to start, I got my first muscle-up. grin

We did a bunch of pose drills and then a WOD at the end plus some stretching instruction.

Hindy:

3 rounds for time of:
Run 200m
30 squats
15 push-ups

Time: 5:52

Cashed out with some double-under practice.  First time for me using the buddy lee ropes and I was able to get a new PR of 15 consecutive DUs (up from 9 before).  The best part is that I was able to do that 3 times.

Buy in: CFWU x 2

Back Squat Warm-up
135 x 5
225 x 3
275 x 2

Sets
315, 335, 365 (tied PR), 385 (new PR*), 395 (failed), 315, 325

Cash Out:
225 x 10

*All Sets were done raw with no belt and A2G. My best in the last 6 months is around 435, but that is with a belt on. Still have a lot of ground to make up.

I do a couple of months of CrossFit and then a couple of months of regular strength training.  CrossFit is great for what it is but there isn’t enough regular heavy lifting to keep big numbers like that I think.

The evidence doesn’t substantiate that theory.

I didn’t see any dogs with Martinis there, but I think he’s up having fun in Tahoe already.
