Last time this came up, I made a printable score sheet that’s easy to fill in during the rest periods:

Inertia plays a mighty role in recovery, and an object at rest on a couch can stay there for a long time.

Hi,

This is my first post here but have been following for a while.  Thanks for this site, it made my crossfit experince so much better.  This is the second time I do Tabata and I am wondering about the scores.  On the FAQ page and anywhere they talk about this, they always say to keep the lowest number in a given exercise and keep that as your score.  But, you guys just add everything.  I was just wondering why that was?

Thanks

Well, next weekend we put a pull up bar in the yard.  My gym is closed on Sundays.  Had no way to even really sub anything good for pullups so.  So, I just did tabada running instead.  not sure how I would score that.  Probablys hould have counted the meters but I didn’t

Anyway, on the rest,  62 pushups, 72 situps and 102 squats.  136.  I know my pushups would have been less if I had done pullups instead of running.

“tabata something else”

First time doing this, almost felt Pukie coming along…

Pullup: 11,9,8,5,6,3,5,3
Pushup:17,13,11,11,10,8,9,10
Situp: 7,7,7,7,7,7,6,8
Squat: 11,12,12,10,15,13,11,14

Total: 293

Sidenote- learned Kipping pullups today!  it helped a lot, now i just have to work on the technique to perfect it.  coming down from the kip didn’t feel as i think it should.  but progress is being made!

Unanchored Abmat situps
Pull-Ups: 10+10+6+6+6+5+5+2 = 50
Push-Ups: 14+14+12+8+6+6+6+4 = 70
Sit-Ups: 9+9+8+8+8+7+7+7=63
Squats: 10+11+12+10+10+11+10+11=85

Total: 268

Previous: 307
(w/ anchored abmat situps)

I lost the most in the squats as I was really working on form.

I also got too greedy in my plan for the pull-ups and it cost me.
