Hi,

This is my first post here but have been following for a while.  Thanks for this site, it made my crossfit experience so much better.  This is the second time I do Tabata and I am wondering about the scores.  On the FAQ page and anywhere they talk about this, they always say to keep the lowest number in a given exercise and keep that as your score.  But, you guys just add everything.  I was just wondering why that was?

Thanks

It varies.
The “true” tabata score as I understand it is the lowest number, but many Tabata style CF workouts use a cumulative score.

I was a bit surprised when I first saw it too.
It’s just different is all.

First time doing a tabata workout and wasn’t sure what kind of results I’d get.  Looking forward to comparing this to a future workout and seeing improvement.  As a baseline, this is not a bad start for an out-of-shape old dude!
wink
Then, did Deadlifts (5-5-5-5-5) = 185#

So yes, if wall push ups are easy . . . move your feet out farther.  If those are easy, do pushups off a bench . . . .

grin

Thanks TP.

Post total reps from all 32 intervals to comments

Total Reps = 273

Cash out - 100 Kettlebell swings, 30 lbs

This WOD was hard just trying to keep rep count and time every 30 seconds! I think next time I’ll look for a partner who can keep track of the 20 sec/10 sec intervals.
