Hi all,

I’m a pilot by trade and on one of my travels,  I ended up in BFI (Seattle, WA for the aviation gringgos here..)  I was looking for the nearest gym around my hotel which was located by Lake Union, northern downtown area.  As I was walking around the backside of the hotel, I came across Urban Crossfit.  Coach Craig signed me up for a couple of days worth of workouts since I was here for only a couple of nights.  I also thought, hell—they do have all the equipment I need for my WOD so, wth—screw the globo gym!  I have to tell ya, it was my first affiliate experience and I luvd it!  Thanks to Coach Craig Cooper and the others in class, i.e. Jimmy and Vlad for keeping up with me.

So on my first day I was expecting to do FGB which was the prescribed WOD.  Nope!  I joined the rest of the class and I learned how to actually do Power Snatches ‘correctly’.  We did 7 - 1 RM Power Snatches, followed by 30-20-10 of 1.5Pood kettelbell and situps (timed).  The next day—AGAIN, first time ever using the row machine, did 1000m followed by 5 rounds of ‘7 Push Jerks and 25 kipping pullups’.  Boy! did I rip some skin that day, but have now enjoyed having learned these skills AND doing a mighty fine kipping Pull-Ups.  Awesome!

I would highly suggest checking them out when you’re in the Seattle area
