Puppies: Pullup Ladder

Beginner Pullups - 13 Rounds + 10 (last 6 Rounds broken into sets of 6, then 5, then 4… ugh).

It is my goal to do real pullups for the first time since I was in 5th grade (I think—it’s been a long time anyway).  I know that I’m getting stronger, but that will be a milestone for sure. smile

Warm-up - 3x(500m easy row + CFWU)
Cool-down - Stretching

“Death By Pullup”

With a continuously running clock do one pull-up the first minute, two pull-ups the second minute, three pull-ups the third minute… continuing as long as you are able.
Use as many sets each minute as needed.

9 rounds and 7 pullups in the 10 round for a totatl of 52.  First time with this workout and I think that it is my new favorite!

Are you guys recovered from Linda? I couldn’t get up this morning! My lower back is killing me. I’m waiting till later today to do the pullups but damn, Linda messed me up! That should be a WOD before the rest day.

My low back is a little sore, but not too bad.  I foam rollered quite a bit after Linda to try and help with that.  First time for me doing 55 deadlifts at bodyweight.  Hopefully next time I can as RX’d.

Inertia plays a mighty role in recovery, and an object at rest on a couch can stay there for a long time.

Ran a little over a mile today at the local High School track.  Nice and comfy track.  Took me under 15 minutes, which is good for me.  Had to quit as the band was coming in to practice.  Maybe I should have stayed as part of the entertainment.

Modified Puppy/Pack: Four rounds, each for time of:
600 meter run. Rest as needed between efforts.

1. 3:43
> 1:57 Rest
2. 3:07
> 2:40 Rest
3. 3:14
> 2:49 Rest
4. 3:20

Did on a treadmill…would like to do outside next time. Sprinting tires my lower back, so I ended up slowing down on the 3rd and 4th rounds, even though I wasn’t winded.

Death by Pull Ups

As Rx’d

20 rounds

Could of probably gone another 2 rounds but I knew “Linda” was lurking right after the pull up WOD…..

15 min break then scaled “Linda”

Should of gone a little heavier or done more reps. Wasn’t easy but could of been harder

Death by pull-ups

Finished 11 rounds + 6.  I felt great until about round 9 and then it felt like a thousand pound monkey jumped on my back!!  Yesterday was “The Three Bars of Death”, today “Death by Pullups”,  what death is coming tomorrow?
