Gracias TP!
Hey I ahve been talking to some of my family members about CF and I found out last week that one of my wife’s Cousin’s just opened up his CH afiliate in CT
It is a small world!!!! Too Bad that I’m like 3000Miles away :(
Oh my gosh, guys. I still consider myself a CF newbie considering that I’ve only been doing CF for about 5-6 weeks.
Ha! I’ve been doing it almost 3 years and I still consider myself a newbie too . . . or a yellow belt . . . maybe with a stripe . . .

Suffice it to say, now I know all the pain you guys described after “Linda”. I understand why it was described by so many as their “least favorite” or “most difficult” WOD.
They don’t call it “three bars of death” for nothing.
It was most excellent. I never thought a piece of PVC could make me sweat so much!
We covered the snatch in great detail including all the positions and building it from the top down. All the squat therapy I’ve been doing is really paying off as the butt wink is gone and the bottom of my overhead squat is solid. Also, I think I’ve finally got a good cue to keep the bar close to my body during the snatch which is to try and flip my shirt up as the bar goes by.
The positions we covered were: high hang, “pockets”, mid thigh, below the knee and mid shin. So, now I know how to properly transition through all the positions from the floor to the jump. We covered the Burgener warmup, overhead squat and snatch balance as well. It was 2 hours well spent.
We didn’t cover cleans, so no rack position stretches were discussed. I’ll be back in 2 weeks for some one on one with Justin again and we’ll see how the stretches you, Lincoln and others have helped me.
See my earlier post for the fun partner WOD at the end.
I was going to stick around and practice some muscle-ups but since my hands are still torn from Thursday and we did more pull-ups today, I opted for double under practice and then headed off for lunch.

I’m the uncoordinated one in the yellow shirt, back right corner.
Dude, bright yellow shirt in a videoed sessions. Not a good move. Nowhere can you hide.
Matt’s a kiwi and they’re moving back here soon I believe.
You’re right Metric. Matt and Donna are moving back, but I’m not sure about the timeline. They’re giving the KettleBell Skills seminar on the 5th which I’ll also be attending. Perhaps I’ll wear the bright red shirt next time.
I didn’t watch everyone else in the video because I was keeping an eye on you and appearances to the contrary, I do have a life off this forum to attend to, but you were at least one of the better performers in the video if not the best. Good job.

Thanks Metric! I’m sure you’ll be disappointed to hear that taking a Dynamax ball to my face during the WOD didn’t make it on camera. It seems taped hands aren’t quite as good for catching as untaped hands.
