Had a vacation and came back sick.  So this is honestly all I’ve done since my last post:

Thursday, September 24th did:

Press x1(kg): 50, 55, 57.5(f), 57.5(f), 55
Push Press x3(kg): 60, 65, 67.5(f), 67.5(f), 65
Push Jerk x5(kg): 65, 67.5(f), 67.5(f), 65(f), 65(f)

It was that kind of day.

On Sunday September 27th did:

Angie: 60 pullups, pushups, situps, squats

for time: 15:35

Pulls were chin to bar; pushes were beard to dirt; sits were unanchored; squats were to improvised log-target/ full RM, but as usual I’ve got no one to tell me if I fall apart at the bottom.

Quick question. . .

So, for women, porch and big dawgs are the same? Or am I misreading something (entirely possible since I’m in the midst of grading really bad freshman essays)?

As Metric stated last month on 090825:  Yep!

This WOD asks for an AMRAP 20 - as MANY rounds as possible in 20 minutes. How many is enough? Best thing to do is take a look at the last time this WOD came up, and look at what the Big Dawgs posted. Then choose a scaling that you thing will allow you to get something like that number of rounds while taking as little rest as possible, without having anything left in the tank at the end. For this particular WOD I would try to aim at 10 to 14 rounds in 20 mins.

Just a litle quote from what TP posted last time this WOD came around:

This is a flat out hideous workout.  There is nowhere to hide, nowhere to rest.

Do you think this is an improvement?

In August when we did this workout - I scaled down to 65 lbs and did 11 rounds.  This time I did the workout as Rx’ed (95 lbs) and got 8 rounds in.

65lbs to 95lbs is a nice improvement, but I was hoping to get at least 9 or 10 rounds in.
What do all of you think?  Is it an improvement?

Scaled to Pack-ish
25kg thrusters, 5 reps
25kg hang power clean, 7 reps
25kg sumo deadlift high pull, 10 reps

9 rounds with 1 sec spare, flopped to a heap on the floor at that point!!

Last time did 22.5kg and got 10 full rounds and half way through 11th.

I think that this is an improvement in the sence that your power output increased overall. However, I wouldnt have gone to as prescribed with your previous record at 65 #‘s being 11 rounds. You want to scale this so that you can get atleast 10 to 14 rounds. Next time Iwould probably go back to 65 #‘s and if you get above 15 then I would go as prescribed. Thats just my opinion, I am sure others will vary.
