I have my 9 year old son watching the videos on crossfit kids-
it made me proud watching him do burpees and attempting handstand pushups first off the couch then against the wall with me holding his feet!
Then at the park my 9 year old and my 6 year old daughter were doing jumping pullups! They can do it better than I can! Then they weigh alot less-at least that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
Itis pretty exciting to see how much the kids enjoy CrossFit and will use it for “play”
Last weekend we watched our kids make up pool burpees, where they did a burpee but the jump was a dive in and a swim to the other side, only to hop out and do it again and again.
They were doing those too! Pistol squats, pool edge muscle ups, Beck’s pool burpees, and pool side push ups. I got some on Bluez camera. Will post when received.

We’re pulling them off the cameras now. We should have some up on Picasa tomorrow and can send full sized files on physical media.
Don’t forget the drowning situp..that one kept our attention.
Knees and feet over the edge, leaning back into the pool deeply submerging head face and torso and then popping back up.

BWAHAHA! Just so long as the “up” portion equals the “lean back” portion . . . we’re good.

Hi everyone!
I am a coach of a High School Girls Cross Country and Track teams. I have also been doing Cross Fit since April and loving the results for myself. I want to take it to my kids. This summer I have a camp that nearly all of the athletes attend. Weightlifting has always been part of this camp. The camp lasts for 6 weeks - 5 days a week. We did the standard - Squat, Deadlift, Clean, Bench and Press exercises that are the core of more quality lifting routine. However, I feel like it would be great to switch to a Crossfit routine. Does anyone have suggestions? Especially those of you that have worked with large groups of kids before? I could have 30-40 boys and girls in 8th - 12th grade.
