Well, 2010 is almost half over, but I’m posting in regards to my Crossfit Birthday- May 13th. So my “year” just started.

- One handstand pushup, unassisted
- Run 800m in under 3min
- Deadlift 300lb, which is around 1 1/2 times my bodyweight
- Run 5k in under 22min

Hit my goal of a sub 16 minute Annie…a few week ago.

Next up, the sub 22 5k Row!

We have too many heroes lost and not enough workout days to commemorate them. I think it’s fitting to always think of the men and women in service, whether military or peace officers and public safety, as we do our workouts. A bit of motivation to throw a little of our sweat and maybe a drop of blood on the floor in their honor.

Get a muscle up.

Run 5k in under 25min.

BW bench press.

150 # shoulder press.

Get stronger, faster, smarter, and overall better at life. Enjoy time with my son and son on the way and show my wife how much I love and am grateful to her.

Edit: Train athletes.
Enlighten people on what fitness truly is through teaching them the CF methodology.
Get my L1 cert.

Just an update

I got a muscle up back in february

5k run is down to 27 min and 25 is looking really difficult, I think I have to start training for this if I want to beat this goal.

I just got a bw bench press at 225 and I know I had more in the tank.

Shoulder press is up to 135 last I tried but the elbow injury and all of my presses are coming along nicely

I would love to be a better husband, better person, and obviously get stronger.

Hello all I have been researching this workout program for sometime now.  I would love to dive in head first and get started by staying a couple of days behind on the WOD.  I have very little lifting expierience. Because I am so skinny it’s almost embarrasing to go to the gym.  I used to spend a lot of time running but eventually gave that up too.  I want to be more motivated about working out, staying fit, and eating right again.  I do stay active outside a lot so hopefully getting back into the motions won’t be so bad.

Cheers!

After about a decade of being a couch potato I started working out at a local health club.  I was lucky to find the worlds best trainer in James.  He asked my goals and told me about something called CrossFit.  Since I started doing his workouts I’ve lost about 34lbs, I started at 232.  I’ve dropped a pant size, completed a 25 mile bike ride w/out walking and can now jog 2 miles (something i haven’t done since i was in the air force.)  There are still MANY, MANY,  things that I can’t do in crossfit, but everyday i’m working to improve.

so this year I want to be able to squat completely and correctly.  evidently i have horrible hip mobility and weak core.

I want to get a bike and log many more miles.

Hike more challenging trails, maybe in Vermont or Maine.

Continue to lose more weight.  Ideally I would love to be back at Air Force weight, but I am definitely not going backwards.

I want my elbow to heal so I can work on doing burpees.

One more, I turn 40 in april and i want to look good in a tank top.

Thank you for sharing crossfit, I feel like it is the best kept secret about health and fitness and I tell everyone I meet about it.  Because if I can do it, anyone can.

thanks tina

I always pick ones that are too difficult to accomplish.  Once I chose a sub three hour marathon and spent all year getting injured.

This year (2011) I’m on CrossfitbrandX after a full year of CrossfitbrandX workouts moving from puppy through pack and then several as Rx’d.

So after a year of learning I have the following real and achievable goals:

1-20 unassisted pull ups
2-Finish the crossfit one arm push up progression that I started about two months ago and still rock through on a daily basis
3-unassisted muscle up on rings by moving through progressions
4-a single unassisted HSPU by moving through progressions
5-get back to dunking a basketball by working on vertical leap improvement suggested through a crossfit trainer

And for general goals, continue to get up at 5:00 and get my workouts done each day I am in a location where it is possible to do so.

Thanks BrandX!

J
