Hi All -

I am following the CrossFit Kids Lesson Plans (PreTeen and Teen) with a group of about 8 middle school boys. The workout for later today is:

“Set up 3-5 cans, spaced about 5 feet apart. Then grab a soccer ball and do the following:
3 Rounds:
3 forward rolls
10 push ups
10 squats
Soccer throw a soccer ball at the cans from 15 feet away. hit all the cans and start the next round.”

Should I have the boys do this one at a time? Or set up 2 groups so there is less rest time? I’m not sure how to make the soccer throw part work with a small group.

Thanks for your help!

I used to set up two or three sets of cans and make the kids set them up before they started the next round.

These days there’s dudes gettin’ facials, manicured, waxed and botoxed. With deep spray-on tans and creamy lotiony hands you can’t grip a tackle box.

Yeah, with all of these men linein’ up to get neutered it’s hip now to be feminized. I don’t highlight my hair, I’ve still
got a pair. Yeah, honey I’m still a guy.

Oh my eyebrows ain’t plucked there’s a gun in my truck. Oh thank god, I’m still a guy.

Agree with Jeff - have the kids set them up after they complete a round. Or have the WOD in 2 heats. One set of kids are those who reset the cans, the other set of kids are completing the workout. Switch when the first group has finished their workout.
