Ten rounds for time of:
135 pound Deadlift, 15 reps
15 push-ups

Post time to comments.

Please hold questions and comments until Garddawg or BlueBugofJustice post the scaling, which usually includes links to exercise videos, common substitutions and other helpful information.

The mainpage of CrossFit directs new people here for help getting started.  CF can be confusing enough for a newbie, we want to make it as easy as possible for them.  We ask you to be courteous and thoughtful of the newbies.  If they show up here for the first time and have to wade through 5-10 posts before we have a chance to scale for them, it can make it more difficult.

We have too many heroes lost and not enough workout days to commemorate them. I think it’s fitting to always think of the men and women in service, whether military or peace officers and public safety, as we do our workouts. A bit of motivation to throw a little of our sweat and maybe a drop of blood on the floor in their honor.

RXd 12.03

Usually I’m a day behind (I should have been doing yesterdays WOD now but the weatther sucked.  I’ll pick up that WOD tomorrow) but it is nice to be at the start of a thread for once.  At the half way mark I was 5.03 and then by round 7 I could feel fatigue set in.  All reps unbroken but the further I got into it the longer the rest between rounds.

I saw Buff’s time before I headed over to the gym and thought I could be in that ballpark…. not even close!! I was at 6:05 at the end of round 5 and just hit a brick wall! Nice work, Buff. I’ll catch you one of these days!
Cash out: 1200m run, 500m row

This is one of those WODs that sneaks up and bites you on the rear.  At first glance the weight for the DLs doesn’t look like much and the push ups are not intimidating but it is the 10 rounds of 15 reps which is the breaker.  I had aspirations of a round a minute but by round 7 I was hurting and I could feel it slip.  I have no doubt some of the fire breathers will below 10 minutes but for this little puppy I’ll settle for 12.

I know exactly where your coming from mate and we’ll smash this next time it comes around.

Same as the last two days

Construction WOD AMWRAP in 14 hours of

Tear up old floor
put down new floor

Although I should be able to run today and pickup my oly bar, plates, a practice bar for my wife, my heavy bag and dumbells, and maybe even get the C2 setup. If anyone has a Hibbit Sports nearby they have got good prices on bars and weights to get you started.

and I recomend against dealing with dumbellbuddy.com under any circumstances.

and as hard as it was to believe My three year old son saw my jump rope hanging in the new gym and wanted me to show him how I use it. So in bib overalls, and workboots after 12 hours of laying laminate flooring I got my first 2 unbroken DU’s I couldnt believe it…......

This one didn’t “sneak up to bite me on the rear” so much as it jumped up, screamed at me, and proceeded to stab me in my lower back! haha!
All of my push-ups were unbroken, but I only managed rounds 1 and 2 unbroken on the DL’s. The rest were 8/7 (rounds 3-5) and then 5/5/5 (rounds 6-10). My cash out run was more to stretch out my lower back than anything else. I’ve only been at this for about 10 weeks so I’m happy with my time, but people like you give me something to aspire to!

Rx’ed

8:51

All sets unbroken, chest to floor and shoulders pass behind bar at full lockout!

Felt really good on these. Just enough to get me there but not enough to kill me. I’m gonna try it with a vest and scale the weight up next time.

I’m with Navy.  At first I was thinking 10, pft, shouldn’t be too bad.  I got half way and started to seriously slow down.  The last three sets were pretty rough.
